The PRO4. The fans on the US-16-150W hardly comes on.

Indeed. I have 1/2 the mind to switch to netgate for the router.. still waiting patiently tho. There is something in the works, its just covered with NDA so dont know what it is actually or when it will come. Hopefully by the end of the year. Sigh.

which netgate router are you going for? Unfortunately it seems that they do not have a retailer based in Singapore.

Ubiquiti having something under wraps. Something more powerful than the PRO4.

That xg-7100 is too rich for my taste

If I ever upgrade to 10G internet, I probably find a dual port fiber NIC and stuff it in my r210 ii

I can only laugh at someone who doesn't know the history of UAPs anyhow providing recommendations.

Go figure out the square ACs and its history and its current state.

I won't touch NanoHD until much much later. NanoHD uses MediaTek chipset while majority of UAPs (even the very old 1st gen 802.11n UAPs) are using Qualcomm Atheros chipsets for 7 years or more.

Finally got both of my access points mounted to the ceiling to improve the coverage cone. One for each floor of the house.

The UAPs are crying.....pity them to have been handled by someone who clearly has no foundation knowledge of RF.

The user is only an end user, cant blame him for not knowing about MTK's history and about nanoHD issues.

I would avoid nanoHD for now. Dont and wont touch it with a yard stick.

Bro, pls refer to several helpful posts above this.. Better stay away from the nanoHD for now. Cheers.

how did you get it mounted?
you ask your contractor to drill? or you drill it yourself?

Drilled the base/mounting plate to the ceiling and just attach the AP to the plate. Quite easy actually.

However, pls don't follow the placing as there is something wrong with it according to "chaicka". Hopefully, he will provide further details so that I can learn from my mistakes.
