Good news.

LG technician decided to change after running refresher for 5 times.

But they still deny its a panel issue. Claim that its a burn in.

Well if it's a burn in, then they still need to own up.. They are the ones who claim that burn in is fixed.
Caveat emptor..

Had a good talk with the technician as well.

Apparently he mentioned alot of customers are not aware that physical damage to the panel = warranty void.

For sure myself am aware what is a physical damage done and that is surely warranty void no questions asked.

I hope that this technician did not come up with the conclusion that your panel suffered physical damage.

Anyway nice that you got it fixed.

LG themselves have admitted this is a factory issue, and not a burn in issue, so it's either the technician doesn't know any better, or he is covering up the truth.

Irony is that it would have cost LG less to just update the lookup table within the TV, rather than to change the entire panel (which will also change the hardware that contains the lookup table, as that is panel specific).

He show me alot of photos of the site that he visited. Some customers even flare up on the spot asking why issit not covered.

Seriously ridiculous. Lol.

Some models are suffering for manufacturing defect. Panel flickering. Which he didn't tell me which model. He mentioning this kind will on the spot change.

I accept burn in if I intentionally do that.

Which is weird that even their team lead doesn't know. Just say replace after 5 x screen refresher..

Hi guys, anyone of you received call from LG for the free checkup and servicing and replacement of upgraded part (if found faulty)?

Received a call (pty number) stated from LG, she knows my address and my model number. Asking if I am keen to take up this offer, was wondering if this is a legit servicing from LG.

Any of you guy's 65c7 developed picture defect in the middle of the screen? my is like thin tiger stripes forming in the middle from top to bottom, don't looks like burnt in since what image prolong would have caused this.

Following up on this issue i had.

Send an online inquires to LG, and within days, received a call from LG and said they will send a technician over to evaluate my problem.

On the day the tech was support to turn up, he gave me a call saying he does not have the panel to do exchange so requested me to just send him picture of the image problem and invoice so he can use the photo as prove to indent for part. BTW, i had a very hard time taking the photo as prove since can only see on bright white screen, thus everything is bright on photo.

Waited for slightly over a week and received call that panel have stock and ready to do replacement. Did the replacement last week, now almost everything is brand new for the recalled power supply and panel.

Really very good services from LG, I had some worries about the picture defect which is common to OLED but with such services, i will 100% go for another OLED once the existing died.

Agree on this.
I have change the OLED panel twice within this 2.5 years.
1. Because of the TV turn on overnight and burn in
2. There is 1 bright cell.

Overall LG after sales is reasonable and good.

Now 3 years warranty will be ending soon. Hopefully it can last me for few years on the road.
