Agree. Redmi Note 9 is a good replacement for Mi Max 3.

I did talk about Note 9 (and note 8) series being long and narrow compared to max 3 but nobody seems to bother. Bros/sis still kept saying their screen sizes are comparable...

Yes I get that but given that Mi Max line has been axed, Note 9S is your best bet despite the aspect ratio difference. New phone displays now are normally tall and narrow cause of the aspect ratio. If you want something like Max series, I can only think of Huawei Mate 20X as the only other alternative choice now.

My mi max 3 old man Liao after 1 year plus of abusing it. Heavy gaming, heavy youtubing, use until fully discharge many times because lazy to charge. And now very ugly got scratches.

Lol mine is still pretty good, I believe almost 2 years.
Battery still last very long.

Was considering note 9 but the fingerprint reader at the side feels weird to me so gonna stick to max3 awhile longer.

Previous OTA bricked my phone. Spend S$80 (1 x Russian US$28 + Local chap S$40) to get it out from EDL mode. Manage to get the phone working again however i lost my baseband and both IMEI.

Anyone can help with providing their QCN file which might help me in restoring my baseband and IMEI

I have completely destroy my mi max 3 and throw away. What I did, I factory reset it without any sim card without connect to WiFi without sign in to Google. After my phone is loaded I turn on all the features and turn on flashlight tune the brightness to the highest put the screen never sleep and drain until the phone completely flat and I throw away my phone in the morning. Why I do this because I spend too much time playing modded games on this mi max 3 and I feel I waste a lot of time.
