Yes, QQQ is gd. Basically buying a cross section of America's 100 most innovative companies. I expect some short-term weaknesses as hedge funds rotate to cyclicals and weak hands take profit.
But long term, QQQ has shown it is incredibly resilient. My main complaint on QQQ is that it does not really have much exposure to China, other than PDD and JD. So I do supplement QQQ with some Chinese exposure, as I expect the yuan to strengthen against the dollar in the next 5-10 years.......
Hello RedsYWNA,
I came across your comment on the ETF QQQ. I have always been interested in this ETF and the recent dip has just posed a good opportunity to start a position.
However, the fact that it is domiciled with 30% WHT,higher estate tax, higher expense ratio than some Ireland alternatives , does it not bother you?
What have you considered and what made you decide on this ticker?
Anyone buying ISF? It has not reached the ATH like the US indexes
The time to buy was 2 weeks back. It has had a vertical move of more than 10%, since then.
Buying anything now is a momentum trade. You never know when the momentum will stop. Might as well hold on to what you have and wait for a pull back.
You mean WeWork wasn’t a technology company?Tech is not everywhere, reits got no tech...

T+2, clearing day
those who bought previously were happy with the 10%+ gains this week..
those who were stuck when they bought the dip but realised stock never move also sell off after this small gain
and lastly, people who realized this pfizer vaccine is still testing phase, even if it is successfully given FDA approval, reaching our shores and having our entire world vaccinated may eat well into 2022.
