Finally. I too experienced a good improvement in battery life after sw update. Getting about 7 hrs SOT over a 15hrs period using LTE. This is at least a 15% improvement. I'm still using 96hz
7 hrs SOT with 100% LTE? Omg i regret to sell my n20u now

Maybe if you only use your phone to browse net or reply message. The moment you push the exynos to do more demanding task like taking video and photos or doing gps navigation, watch how the battery drop like grapes and the phone heat up like crazy. I've used both S20+ exynos and S20FE (SD865) and there is a clear diff. Even the SD set takes better photos esp with moving objects and sharper processing.

So is it ok to get a local exonos set now?
i read some users saying battery life improved alot after the most recent software update. Maybe the battery drain on load is reduced? i seldom game, but i want my phone to be able to last the day i take videos and photos. i am thinking of SN20U because of the of good photos and videos this phone can give me. HUAWEI P40 PRO, or the coming mate 40 PRO seems even better, but no GMS is really a headache
Would be wiser for you to wait for a few months for S21. I read that the new Exynos chip in S21 is better.
Any user can confirm this ! Thanks
Sent from HUAWEI Mate 20X using GAGT
I got 2h SOT over 17 hours with 5G with 15% left before recharging.
Not for my case.
I switched to the Note 20 Ultra because my contract is up and I can tell you, it runs warm when doing simple tasks like surfing the net and battery life is pathetic. It cannot last one whole day if outside. The variable refresh rate is fake. It just toggles between 48, 60, 120 Hz. In fact, the VRR doesn't even work if the environment isn't bright enough which is kinda of joke. The camera also takes very poor close up photos.
What phone do you suggest i go for. It seemed all Samsung models i read all had issues. S20+ Ultra was the 1st i considered because of the amazing specifications on the camera, then came the Auto focus issue. S20+ and S20NU because of battery issue, even the recent FE had touch issues. FE wasnt that bad considering i dont game much but i dont feel good while holding it. The scrolling was even slower than my IP7PLUS (Maybe only me?) though the display was top notch. FOLD Z was way too big and too expensive somemore, and the camera specs pales when compared to the S20 series. Regular S20 and Note 20 was never in my consideration at all.
S21 series or One Plus. If you want close to perfection, iPhone 12.

Don't use that app, cos it will lock the refresh rate at 96hz instead of having a variable refresh rate that the note 20 ultra screen is capable of. Use the below manual method instead.
https://www.neowin.net/amp/how-to-set-samsung-galaxy-s20s-display-refresh-rate-to-96hz/
Follow up to step 5 till "adb shell settings put system peak_refresh_rate 96.0" part.
Don't do the min_refresh_rate part, else will disable the variable refresh rate.
Don't use method 2 (the s20 app) as suggested in the link, as it will also disable the variable refresh rate.
How do I know if I'm on 96hz refresh rate after doing the above? Where can I check? TIA
Oneplus 8t
Note 20u SD but no warranty plus poor battery life
Iphone 11 pro max excellent battery life no issues with hardware
