Where to tailor clothes, continued...

Haven been tailoring much recently since most of my past commissions still fit, but made this for my upcoming trip to japan in November. I have an extreme case of drop shoulder on my right which to be compensated evenly, have to be heavily padded which is not to my liking. So as long as the back is clean ain't that big of a fuss to me. I was also in jeans for fitting which is highly not advised due to the low sitting and in actual fact, the length of the jacket was well. Ain't going to name the tailor and for those wondering about the fabric, its Caccioppoli.

Nice! Although at first glance the jacket looks disproportionate due to its length being the same as your sleeves. Wear it well!

Blame it on my low sitting jeans, but the length of the jacket is good. The moment I stepped in, my tailor started nagging about my hip hop jeans.

Newbie here looking for tailors recommendations for business shirts. Know nuts about types of materials etc as well. Years ago did tailor at rossi and subsequently did some at Bangkok and recently because of returning to office tried 2 different tailors at seah im, paid between 60-70 for a couple of shirts and tried lai en as well. Preferred lai en over seah im, fits better and auntie friendly haha though it's $5-$10 pricey. Went to make one at CYC as well, it cost 170 and its Getzner wrinkle free Egyptian cotton (not even sure if its good or branded) but the fit and the material when wearing is really different league (yes of course it should be since its double the price), but am wondering if I can get a similar grade of fabric at any other decent tailors at perhaps 100-150 (since I suppose CYC is suppose to be more ex)? Or any recommended fabric? I'm just looking at plain white shirts with minor detailing like perhaps color buttons only nothing fanciful. Was considering to go back to Rossi but seems like the shirts are $200> now.

Any experts has any recommendations?

Just curious, anyone has both full canvassed and half canvassed suits and worn them over 50 times? Any noticeable difference in terms of longevity?

Was in a discussion with someone and we didn't realise much difference for first 10-20 wears.

For shirts, you can try The Cutting Room, they have the ability to draft and cut albeit at a higher cost. Trousers wise, can try Three Buttons or Ron and Rich, both can draft and cut in-house as well.

Hi All,

I am looking for a new tailor for slim fit shirts and hope someone can recommend someone that can simply replicate the cutting and measurements of a shirt I like.

From experience, almost all tailors here tend to have a preferred cut and like to take their own measurements. In the past I let them do as they preferred as I take it is a bit insulting not letting them work their magic. Unfortunately, they are never to my satisfaction. As a result, I am now simply looking for a tailor to just copy something I am happy with.

I have shortlisted: Lai En and Yong Seng.

Any others I should consider? Preferably with a higher end range of fabrics too (Soktas, Thomas mason etc).
