Very difficult to say one. My Redmi K50 Ultra export set support SIMBA out of the box (APN auto created and HD logo enabled). Whereas Samsung phones bought locally support VOLTE but u have to create the APN.

I don't mind the need to create the APN, as long as VoLTE works without the need to use the SIMBA Voice App. Just want to know more, since the Android market is relative large with so many models of phones sold here. Important thing is the SIMBA VoLTE and it's full features is supported, that's good enough.

This is normal speed at home / on the street. Pretty happy with it. Can stream netflix / youtube with no buffering.

This is the speed when in MRT / MRT Stations / Shopping malls. I do cloud backup / updates when at these locations.

I think will only get good download speed eg >60mbps when in shopping mall mrt station bus interchange as they have 4G lte repeater install inside. Other place eg street or home will be low speed :) . It's cheap lah

Quick question on SIMBA VoLTE Supported handsets (The need to use SIMBA Voice App).

I understand that the list of VoLTE Supported Device stated in the link below is kinda outdated and the latest phone in the list is Samsung S21, which is a 2021 phone. (TPG Free Trials starts on January 2019, so probably till 2021 is the period where TPG SIMBA is working with various phone manufacturers to implement their carrier profile?)

Is it safe to say, that any locally purchased phones from the authorized distributor (Major brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Sony, Google Pixel and the Major Big brands) that are 2022 models onwards all supports the SIMBA VoLTE, without the need to use the SIMBA Voice App? I do know about the Xiaomi USSD Code that need to dial for the VoLTE function, and Google Pixel is known to be problematic, but what about the other brands?

Is there any possibility that a 2022 (or 2022 onwards) released phone (from the major brands sold here) does not support the SIMBA VoLTE? Anyone that purchased a 2022 released phone from major big brands that does not work with SIMBA VoLTE and still need to use the SIMBA Voice App? Thanks in advance!
On VoLTE, it's dependent on both
1) Manufacturer
2) Operator

In nearly all cases, Operator wants, but manufacturers hold back. Eg, Google and Apple. For Apple, the telco must sell their phones and come onboard before they will make proper VoLTE profiles - it's been talked about by other telcos overseas. Malaysia's Yes also recently spoke out on this.

And for info, it's not limited to SIMBA. Even M1 MVNOs do not have VoLTE support on Pixels, but they do on other phones.

You'll realise this procedure when you find out that Xiaomi has an override - it doesn't check whether the operator profile has VoLTE parameters, it just turns it on and tries to force it. That's what the *#*#VOLTE#*#* code does.

Yes, I am aware of concept you explained, since i've been following TPG since their trial days in January 2019. My concern is, can I just freely buy any 2022 released Android Phones and be assured that VoLTE is supported by default? To be more detailed, is there a possibility of such a example happening? Brand A, Phone Model A supports VoLTE, Same Brand A Phone Model B don't. Both phones are released on the same day in 2022 with different specifications and prices. Likewise, Since Samsung S21 is already in the list, can I safely assume S22 automatically supports it?

For Apple, it's straightforward. They have a list of "Wireless Network Provider Support" so we know what to sign up for.. For Android and the various phone brands? That's another question.
