First time home owner trying to get my 4rm bto done up. I opt in for the HDB optional addon for tiles and doors but still need a lot of work done..

Definitely avoid renochamps. My colleague had issues with them. They have to look for another contractor now because the contractor is no longer doing work despite payment.

Demolishing , carpentry , Electricity, Pumbling. pretty much bao ka liao .
But to quote i have not finish the entire renovation, currently stands at 60% and am very pleased with the process so far.

I think the main point is i hope through all this sharing, the wider audience can have what they want and yet afford to do so.

So it's more of direct carpentry services or still considered ID company? I've some issues with my ID also but since the renovation will start in 2-3 months, i am considering direct carpentry/contractor also. Mind PM me the contacts? Thanks before

Also to ask some of the folks here. Initially my ID is responsive before he took my deposit money but after received our 20% deposit, he became not as responsive as before. Even the 3d is delayed and i've to keep chasing him. So it's a potential red flags for us. In this case, would it be possible to ask for the deposit refund minus the design fees. I'm seriously considering for direct contractor/carpentry as of now

The challenge now is to try to find out who is the ones charging real “direct contractor price”.

Doesn't list any specific term and condition. Only mention price does not include electrical, plumbing etc, no hidden cost. And i can only see it mention deposit 20% upon confirmation. So worst case just lose all the deposit? We prefer there won't be any delay but it seems difficult to work with ID that is not responsive and ignoring our message

20% deposit seems like a red flag. Did you negotiate on payment terms?

My deposit with Swiss Interior was also 20%.
