or maybe i heard wrong i dunno
If I tell I eat wild animal meat in a restaurant next to Plaza Pelangi. If order a table of 10 person, you can even order tiger meat and bear paw (advance order). Do you believe?

There WAS a train service that passed that way, back of Holiday Plaza was one of the designated stops ... from Tanjong Pagar station

I don't recall the stop behind Holiday Plaza. I do remember the KTM rail bus that stopped behind Danga City Mall (Best World). The remnants of the stop can still be seen.

In the 90's there were still rumours you could have wild meat in the restaurants along that row. Bats, civets, deer, but never heard of bear paws.

My favourite then was to visit Taman Sentosa's Teck Sing or its next-door competitor Bamboo Restaurant for paper-wrapped chicken. It became so competitive, you received free gifts if you patronised either. Teck Sing appears to have won the contest, though I stopped visiting sometime in 2005 when I discovered that the food is no longer the best and the kitchen was staffed by a Bangladesh team.

Bats, civets, deer, rabbit, snake etc are normal and ready available. Tiger and Bear paw have to advance booking and need a table of 10 then allow. It's in the menu!!! :p

I can't rem Teck Sing, any photo to refreash my old brain :ROFLMAO:

Let me check location. Usually I know how to drive there and makan didn't really check location.

Life is v short. Ai song song kao tuas & Changi.
Let me share what I know about buying cars in jb.

Don’t buy sg scraped cars in jb. It is illegally smuggled into jb and is illegal to drive in jb.

Also don’t buy MY cars that defaulted in payments but owners sold them before the banks could repossessed them.

Normally the owners would sell it in another state. Still the law will catch up in no time.

Usually these are good expensive cars selling cheaply.

This pricing here is the same for both Malaysians and Singaporeans?

And if I already co-own a house in SG with my spouse, can I still purchase a unit in Malaysia?
Sorry I don’t quite get it.

The property guru link features Malaysia properties for sale.

You certainly can get a property in Malaysia.
But only for medini development, you can purchase at any price from Rm1 to infinity.

If you are talking about taking loans to buy My property, from my understanding:
you will be required to provide your credit report from Sg Credit bureau to show the loans you are holding in sg to determine the amount of loan you can take.

Was with a group of older neighbors and friends, we took from Tanjong Pagar and stopped behind Holiday Plaza. Then we went to use the hotel's toilet (that's when we spotted the buffet lunch that we went on our subsequent visit/s), then off to Swenson's(?) at the entrance of the mall before heading inside. Those were already the illegal movie tapes(?) time...

From there, we'd walk to Sentosa, then to Plaza Pelangi before taking the bus back to CIQ to walk back across the causeway. Those were the (young and stronger) days. :s13:

Bamboo occupied the corner unit by the drain (now a pharmacy).
The longstanding BKT and Mr Sotong are still in business in the same row.
Hey, all I remember about our paper-wrapped chicken dinner was the big longkang! Should be the same one.

There's once a white dog (probably their pet) walked into the kitchen after passing where we're dining. Before our dishes were served, we heard a dog yelping :s14::s14: ... then the same dog walked out the next minute. :s13:

Learnt today that the KTM track runs behind the Holiday Inn (The Mutiara today), although Streetview does not show the track. Yes, that Swenson's was a favourite during the weekend excursions to JB. At that time, the rage was VCDs.

That made sense as the old CIQ at JB was situated on the Causeway itself.
