Ah that's why
As for the 10G, 2.5G IC took a while to finally start also

Guess by the time they roll out 10G in my area moi can stay with M1 for same price :s22: especially as IMDA is footing the bill for the mass upgrade to XGSPON

they will only keep asking you to refer to this:
How to sign-up to SIMBA Broadband 2.5Gbps?
SIMBA Broadband is available to residential addresses in:

East: Changi, Loyang, Pasir Ris, Simei, and Tampines
West: Beauty World, Boon Lay, Clementi, Jurong, and Tengah
Central: Bishan, Beach Road, Holland Village, Novena, Tiong Bahru, Toa Payoh
North East: Serangoon

However, it is advisable to enter your postal code to check the availability of service addresses.
other than this, standard template reply only
In reference to our previous response, we are updating our FAQs to show the service areas. We do not have a roadmap, but rest assured that we take all customer feedback seriously.

Would like to check whether NetLinkTrust installation and ONT installation is same day installation or separate date?

I am considering to switched to SIMBA 2.5Gbps plan. Currently, my home backbone is 2.5Gbps ready.

Would like to gather the feedback on the uptime, latency, etc about SIMBA 2.5Gbps.

Is NLT installation that day need somebody at home to wait for them?
based on my experience, i was told to be present in my house since they need to come inside…

but based on what people shared over here, they said no need, as it can be done outside of your house… probably a change of SOP?

Even 500Mbps is plenty for most people. What really matters is how well peered your ISP is, and the upstream IP transit quality.

That's the unknown part about Simba since they are still new and there isn't much feedback in those areas.

The good thing is that the more people join Simba, the more traffic they will get and the more they can negotiate for peering arrangements.

hi fellow neighbour👋

in terms of Pricing, no doubt it's the cheapest in the market

in terms of Support, there's no Support hotline. so if Internet goes down, you're on your own.
you can see their Facebook Page and see the list of good/bad comments...

in terms of Speed/Performance, you might want to see the previous comments based on this thread. have fun!

No longer, Whizcomms offers the same price. 2.5G now as part of their 6.6 deal and of course since its a Singtel FBB MVNO, its available islandwide now.

Does anyone have opinions of Whizcomms vs Simba, I had Singtel many many years ago, and my experience isn't positive.

How about you?

Not only has it been mentioned that it's mostly shockingly poor, I have a friend who says that basically its essentially unplayable in multi player games often

Hi guys, have been reading an article shared above about CGNAT and I have some concerns. Currently, I am using M1 ISP for past decade and contract will be ending end of the year and I am considering Simba fibre.

Read about CGNAT of Simba fibre, it don't seem to work well with home automation due to the use sharing single IP.

I use quite a few home automation, Smart IOT devices at home, connected to my home WiFi in which I can access when outside. Question, does that mean I will have difficulty accessing my IOT devices when out of home? And if I'm at home connected to WiFi, can I still use IOT devices (i.e use of Google home speakers to automate my IOT devices) ?

Just wondering why you want to consider SIMBA here? Is it purely because of low cost?

CGNAT without static IPv4 add-on and without IPv6 (no public IPv4/IPv6 address) can create a lot of problems with remote access back to home and things like VPN server.

Some IoT devices may work, some may not work. It all depends on their working mechanism.

I was thinking that SIMBA would provide Static IPv4 add-on (just like MR/VQ which also use CGNAT) much earlier, but looks like they are quite slow in this area.

CGNAT is not a problem with use cases like web browsing or media streaming, or even gaming. But it indeed is a problem for things like remote access to home.

Thank you. I'm still considering options, partly is because to reduce cost. But ever since Simba launched it's fibre. i've seen other ISP reducing their prices. My current M1 have been serving me well so far, hence if IOT doesn't work well with Simba CGNAT, i might continue with M1 then.

But question, if Simba has Static IPv4 or provide IPv6, means IOT devices might work better? Like you mentioned, media streaming use cases is fine with me, 1gbps is good enough and if Simba can give 2.5gbps, that's a plus. But recently i added lots of IOT devices at home hence need it to work.

Thank you
I'm on Simba, use Zerotier to connect back to surveillance cam but it depends on your host being able to run the app.

I'm currently using a few different IOT host, likes of Smartlife, Xiaomi, Google Home, Tmall Genie. If on Simba, how does it work? My surveillance cam is on Xiaomi, IOT devices on Smartlife and Google Home.
