Good luck with your HIP. It's not that scary.

Only first 2 days of hacking is dirty. After that is nothing much.

You will see the construction of your toilet and appreciate it more. 😃

Oh and more mingling with neighbours.

8-last day most important be around for defects check and rectify on the spot especially tiling , water heater install how wires runs. When u eventually remove dustproof the nightmare comes where u can’t only patch the paint that peel off when remove the tapes u need paint the whole thing

Just share with my personal experience.
Was napping at the HIP rest area with some of the aunties chatting inside.
And heard all the gossip soup that they are boiling.
Better dun mingle too much with the neighbors if they are ba po.

(Need to update my previous comment. Sound like I am napping with the aunties.)

may want to install IP camera to observe your house when you are not at home, as some neighbours may be 'nosy' and walk in your house

If I'm not wrong HIP costs 2K plus

You'll be billed once the job is completed

y so expensive , mine starting later this month two toilet , fire rating door with gate only $886.15

If I dont do any cover sheet myself , the contractor will put for me right ?

Yes, the HIP contractor will put up a plastic sheet wall for you.

Better you put up your own primary dustproofing and the HIP contractor secondary layer of protection

For the HIP?
Ours is SG + 4 room flat = $7xx (payable by CPF)

Add:

$4xx cash to upgrade to stainless steel water pipes (from the default PVC)

<$20 for 2x bidets.

Edit: We opted out of replacing the main "wooden" door.

If your original pipe is stainless steel, it is free.
If not, you have to pay.
My original piping was plastic.
I replaced them with stainless steel.
