Only 1 person at home 😆

Yeah wfh very painful :(

sometimes I think go office better

but streaming is ok leh. I just set to 720 or lower 😆
I see. I cannot, have more than 3 people at home, multiple devices connected, high entertainment usage. Eight too slow for our usage as home broadband. i cannot 720p, minimum 1080p for me, at least 2160p if possible.
You're right and that's why I switched back to Maxx for faster modem speed compared to eight
otherwise can get giga 5G plan. Not bad speed.
I have no problem streaming with eight.
I have 3 more people (tenants) using this router also, but not all the time connected.
maybe light usage?

At most, concurrently 3 tv streaming.
One doing work, maybe uploading/downloading documents, project work, although I'm not sure what he does beside 3D modelling.

I also have a 5G deco router using giga 5G. The problem was the deco x50-5G after firmware upgrade. It crashed randomly. but now it's more stable.

eight gave lots of data, but quite slow. How is your speed at home? Don't you struggle loading streaming videos, plus with many people connecting to the router ?
So far my mother and father and me stream at the same time no issue. But only tried this once lah… have to try more times then will be more certain it will work. Though I think the key thing for us is that we are all not watching movies or Netflix. I’m just streaming videos from Udemy, then my parents streaming their stock market tutorials

I think if you are streaming Netflix or movies, definitely will need more and faster bandwidth

It will throttle for video streaming, you think? does it?

Ask your mom, dad, everyone switch to brave browser.
Cut down on ads loaded on the devices 😂😂

switch resolution to 360/480/720 instead of 1080.
Surely can extend your data plan 😂😂😂
Recommend installing pi-hole. Or change dns server on router to adblocking one

M1 is oK for me, at least doesn't experience lag time and intermittent wifi disconnection compared to eight

Simba launched data-only plan, $5/mth 300GB, 3GB data roaming.

Cheaper better option for you for mobile home broadband
