IMHO.
From the webby, one of the pic "Wi-Fi 6 + 4G LTE", the 4G LTE speed for download is up to 150Mbps and upload is up to 50Mbps. If you have high speed 4G, you won't enjoy the benefit.
Also, my experience with Simba, you will need their 5G.
Yep I realised that too, the 4G LTE speed is not that great but good enough for me (work from home usage and I don't do 4K streaming)

Hello everyone, I came by to say goodbye.

my mother complained the WiFi using eight SIM card was too slow, so I signed up for a WhizComms 2.5Gbps plan.

The eight sim data plan is now on standby just in case anything goes wrong with the WhizComms broadband. But I will terminate the data plan latest by middle of February.

thank you for the tips so far. Hope you all find cheaper SIM card plans and cheaper 5G routers. (I’m still using my X50-4G though, but I’m Access Point mode now.)

tried not encourage to get the modem previously as sunk cost.
anyway for others using phone it may work out.

IMHO. 5G router prices too high to justify the switch from fibre broadband. 4G is perfectly usable for normal usage, provided you get good coverage at home

how to wire the good coverage

My Deco 5G router with Simba, only can get 4G signal.
At the same location, giga 5G, can get 5G signal. This is also indicated by a LED which turns white.
Don't get Simba, if you're looking for 5G. Their 5G signal is restricted and only available at some location, I think mostly in city area.

When I use my phone to connect to MR600/Deco as wifi, download speed testing has a big difference:
A: MR600 4G+ router with eight 4G SIM ~ 22 Mbps
B: Deco 5G router with giga 5G SIM ~ 390 Mbps

IMHO.
Now.

TPLINK Deco X50-5G ( 5G router )
Singtel to FPT
Download - 333 Mbps
Upload - 49.3 Mbps
Ping - 35 ( a bit high )
is heya above?

HI all,

in my scenario
if I have a LAN / wifi via broadband, assigned IP for print, NAS, and desktop already.
I lazy to re configure.

can I just buy such 5G router , and then link it to my existing router via LAN as data/WAN?
so that I can have the new router near the window, and away from the current asus?

nx510v tplink
or
DWR-BE7200G dlink
is more reliable?

is more reliable?

Malaysia around $200. But it got problem Dunno go where service :(
That is very true. Even if it is still within the warranty period, if you send it to the Singapore support center, there should be charges for their technical support.

Read some bad reviews also,sian
I thought my bought device was faulty and unfortunate to have picked the very. After reading the same reviews from 2 buyers on the platform on the model, I think it is not my misfortune. The support centre here, not what I thought a d-link should be. very disappointed.

tp-link has many models which is confusing and of coz different pricing.
Generally, I think the price depends on what it has:
1. router - 4G or 5G
2. wifi speed - AX...
3. wifi single or dual band 2.4 or 2.4+5Ghz
So it can be very cheap from < $100 to more than $500.

For starter, one may try below $100 4G SIM router like MR100 $65

Does the MR100 support Simba sim card?

What about the MR400? Is it better to get this instead?
