Cortina SA recently kept messaging me and offered various watches such as root beer and DJ… but requires bundling.

I just entertained the SA abit and laughed in my head…

economy downturn and still playing the bundle and profile building.
This reminded me of one Cortina SA who called me in January saying they received a lot of stocks recently but need bundling. You have to pay for the Tudor before he takes out the Rolex lol. And the Rolex is Air-King or Explorer.

If want Starbucks then you have to complete the above and get 2 more Tudor before he can submit to management for approval lol.

Never see SA work like this like this who straight up ask you buy this and that to get a Rolex. Stopped entertaining him because it is so obvious he just wants his comm.

Honestly if want to bundle, might as well go grey unless you want the AD experience.

I think the SA still thinks they have a lot of holding power in current market situation.

Can sell the model or not, is not decided by SA, most of the time store manager makes the call, after HQ allocates to each outlet.

They also want to sell everything, but when the store manager needs to also balance out allocations to "build" long term customers, can't blame them also la, brands now also force ADs to take a lot of nonsense models, even brands force ADs to "bundle".

The bundling problems goes all the way from the top.

If it's direct boutique like RM and AP, then it's slightly different, but they also play this method to reduce the amount of high demand pieces to keep the secondary market value high so that the brand has a sense of premium to it, while pushing other less popular models.

I was at Changi Airport T3 on Wed. Hassan was only selling a two tone sky dweller at the store.

No one was interested.

Has the bundling situation in ADs improved now in mid 2025? Hearing anecdotal examples of first time customers getting offered SS DJ, and prices of AD vs Grey market converging suggesting an increase in availability in AD stores.

I was comparing some models at grey dealers and the price difference isnt that much. Maybe a couple of hundreds, its not like in the past where there is a huge difference.

Not sure why AD still playing these waitlist games....
