Grab fare is too low compared to taxi after midnight.
I go pickup at Woodlands Checkpoint at 4am and you'll see a long queue of taxis waiting. But the few passengers there will rather wait for PHV.
That's why many Grab drivers have to drive long hours bcuz of low fare.
I don’t find grab fare lower than taxi. It’s more of force of habit and greater certainty when order through grab

He has a choice. He chose money over family.
he has got another debt some where, but the owner cancel away his debt after he passed on.

on the surfacehe might seem like a good and responsible father, but u never know if has bad habits such as gambling etc

One sided story dunno what's the details. Now everyone seems to pity him for his own choice to overwork.

Everyone said how great or good or responsible he is. Yes he may be a good father to his 2 children but he is irresponsible to all the other passengers he had driven and other road users. Luckily no accident due to his lack of rest as the most innocent ones are his passengers and other road users. So stop praising him when in fact he was a danger to his passengers and other road users.

definitely there is more to this story

you don't need to suffer 16 hrs work to bring up 2 kids, many people manage it without being a 'hero'

some hints that he has some debts ? (gambling related?)

his choice is not fair to this kids and to his passengers

Maybe that is the reason why he sold his life. Quite a sad case indeed.

Ya I felt they should have just implemented it for everyone, instead of only those born after 1995

because those born in 1985 to 1994 are only 30+ years old, and there is still ample time for them to build up their CPF savings for retirement
Majority of the drivers are definitely above 30.

Another half baked implementation.

Another half baked implementation.

they are giving chance to those current PHV drivers, because they can claim it affects their take home pay

but for those young ones born after 1995, who can join from this year onwards, they are joining with eyes wide open, no complaining

but I personally feel should have just one time across the board implement, let the older ones complain, or maybe let off only those near retirement like 50 and above

Yes enough but u cannot have bad habit. Smoke a bit ok.
No life. Everyday work. Willingly to commit and never give up. No holiday, no gf, no family gathering. Only work work work. CNY eve, CNY all day working

it is a given, but money and income precedes everything here

if such screens are given free, then ppl with go for it.
Metabolic dysfunction lacks a proper medical assessment, leaving asymptomatic individuals unaware of their risk. This gap in screening also allows the MOH to continue endorsing seed oils without accounting for their metabolic impact.

Sad. He overworked, his body was super exhausted, he needed rest.
Keep drinking redbull for "energy" is not good for our body.
