This pilot youtuber made a very good guess long before news broke. He speculated that one engine malfunctioned and a pilot accidently cutoff fuel to the good engine.

Think can only guess, no way to know unless the pilots specifically said it out at that time

Have to interview family/friends and check his pc if he has any motives.

The 2 fuel switches moved to cutoff in about 1 second, one after another.
Wonder is that possible with 2 spring loaded switch that requires lifting up before moving it.
The PF (pilot flying) will be too busy as flight just lift off. The PM (pilot monitor) has the time to do it though.
Wasn't stated who is the PF and PM in the report.

Or maybe the resolution of the timing is rather coarse, eg 1.9 second is logged as 1 second dependent on the sampling interval ?

Take note that recovery action (by pilot/or pilots) had been initiated to restart both the engines but there wasn't enough time for the engines to develop sufficient thrust ...

Possible for the pilot who cut off the fuel to both engines is suicidal. So it was done on purpose to kill himself and everyone on board...

Possible for the pilot who cut off the fuel to both engines is suicidal. So it was done on purpose to kill himself and everyone on board...

If true, this is call murder-suicide cos planeload of crew/passengers perished too.
Case becomes criminal and certain conversations in the voice recorder will not be disclosed as a criminal investigation will proceed in parallel with the incident investigation by AAIB.

based on the latest report,
engine 2 shut down 1 second after engine 1.
doubt they could react in 1 second to cut off the fuel to engine 2 and also for engine 2 to stop immediately.

If the pilot admit his mistake on this spot, the error can be corrected.
