i got two sim. zym and eight.
i set mobile data to Zym.
then, i made a normal traditional call via phone app.
I called the bank, when i wanna update something in my bank, it sent me a push notification for the 2FA, i never receive coz zym signal suddenly gone, no internet.
den i tried setting mobile data to eight, called the bank again. zym no signal again, but this time, i can receive the 2FA push notification to log in coz i set data to Eight 4G.

On Samsung, there is a switch in sim manager labeled "Data switching and backup calling".
On other phones there might be something similar.
Do you have that enabled ?

I saw some reference saying to use 2 network simultaneously, that switch need to be enabled.
You might want to check that out.

tried already. disabled second sim. so only 1 primary sim card, zym. -> cannot call out.
moved sim to card to a spare phone. -> cannot call out.

Hmm, that is strange, it could be Zym's setting does not address to certain phone's model setting? For your Eight SIM if operates with 1 SIM and removing the other SIM, can data and call operates simultanously? May be you can check with Zym instead.

But dual SIM operation can be quite tricky, eg. My Redmi Pad SE 8.7 can only send SMS with 1 SIM no. and there is no option to send with the other SIM no., there is no option to toggle which SIM nos. to send SMS at all, it is up to the device to decide which is the default. But my older Poco M3 has no such issue.
