Does the weather temperature icon auto update itself periodically without actually opening the app? Mine doesn't and shows only the last manual update when app was last opened.

I don't see any service that I can turn on for this auto update feature. How's it like for you guys....?

I believe it's hourly update

Use the weather widget if you want to see the temperature updated periodically.

Latest from Xiaomi:

Update on #PayPal27Mar issue -

Dear Mi Fans, as of this afternoon, PayPal is still investigating and fixing the issues for transactions that happened yesterday during our Redmi sale.

We have a large number of customers who have paid, and have not had their payment status updated on our website. This can only be verified once PayPal provides us with the payment information.

Orders paid successfully yesterday will not be cancelled, and will be confirmed by our system once we get the verification data.

Customers with multiple transactions for the same order have already been identified and the appropriate process for refund will take place once orders are confirmed and place.

For users with multiple orders, please proceed to complete your payment once. We have extended our 24-hour deadline for payment. If no payment is made, orders may get cancelled. This is only applicable for customers with multiple orders placed that have not been paid.

We will make an announcement once PayPal is able to provide us with payment information to update our payment orders, and also on the expected delivery date.

We are working very closely with PayPal to ensure that this issue is being resolved in the quickest time possible.

We thank you for your understanding, and will provide another update on the situation soon.

The Redmi Screen protector is the worst I've seen. It is more appropriately described as a "scratch pad" or "Scratch magnet". Had this for less than 10 days and its scratched to the level where it causes light refraction (seeing rainbow colours).

And before you think I am an abuser, the preceding phone was an iPhone4 from 2009 with 4+ years mileage with the same $5 screen protector from day 1 and it looks flawless in comparison to Redmi's supplied "scratch pad".

They supplied 3 protectors in a pack. As with screen protectors, they typically have 2 peel tabs/layers to protect the actual screen protector. In one of them, the 2nd removal tab was actually directly fixed onto the actual screen protector without the protective removal film. Speaks volumes about the production standards of these "scratch pads" once again.

So if yours is all scratched up, you're not alone.

Hahaha =:p I absolutely agree with you. Its a scratch magnet all right. Its the worst i've ever experience. in fact, 1 of them had a folded corner.

After 1 day only, i took it out. Using it naked as it is.Figured for this low-costs phone, i'll do without casing or screen protectors. Enjoy it.

Just gotten a nice red glossy batt casing from Taobao. 2 pieces. To replace when each one gets scratched up.
