So what was the cause?
Oh shoot. Just submitted an application for 300/24 months and this is what I read in the forums.
Hopefully this is a one-time affair and not a recurring one, or else I would bang my head for the next 24 months.![]()
Should be a limitation of the app and MyTV rather than network issue
First time in a long timeand working to have it the last in an even longer time

Thanks, I have being searching the web for feedback of this nature but not found any??
I have an Asus RT-AC68U and I set up the built-in OpenVPN to be used overseas. Super easy to setup and I can even share my Hulu/Netflix with friends as such![]()
VQ have set up the Asus router for me.
I set up VPN server using OpenVPN, used my iphone on cellar internet to download the VPN profile and connect successfully. I'm able to surf but i'm unable to go into netflix still. What did i do wrong?
Solved it! Under advanced settings i set "Direct clients to redirect Internet traffic", "Respond to DNS" and "Advertise DNS to clients" to YES, and it works.Likely a routing issue. Your iPhone could be going to Netflix via the mobile network, instead of through the OpenVPN tunnel.
You may need to setup OpenVPN to route Netflix traffic through it for all connected clients. I'm not sure how to do this. Maybe some gurus more experienced with OpenVPN on ASUS routers can help.
Cheers
Thanks, but i was talking about using cellular network to utilize my home's VQ network for watching netflix.if im not wrong, if u are on freedom vpn, u dont need to use openvpn for ur iphone or mobile devices.
all connected devices thru the router can access those sites that freedom vpn offers.
To be fair, this is my first encounter. I am on VQ for almost 7-8 months now.

....The outage was the result of an optimization error to some of our primary and backup equipment on the core network. This optimization had been planned and tested thoroughly under lab conditions and was believed to be ready for deployment. Unfortunately however, an error occurred during the implementation to the live network, which resulted in the outage....
I believe there are quite many of us here who have been with ViewQwest for a long time (>2 years) and probably even some of us who are on non-contract plans. Such outage is definitely rare and the MTTR is usually fast, esp. given that we are somewhat kept informed of the issue and progress status (most transparent of all Fiber RSPs I have seen).Oh shoot.
