To clarify ... I am not looking for a magic channel.

Since the day I started testing beta (earlier than you guys) .. I am collecting matrix on various channel vs the devices

I notice that at Ch36 .. My dell laptop will encounter ssid missing and reconnect back but no issue with other channel.

My mate 7 will have drop at sleep mode on channel 149 onwards but will stay good for 2 digit channel.

My xperia z3 will lost connecting at channel 149 even during usage time... But good for the rest of the channel.

In the end when I pick channel 48. All will stay good no obvious issue .

It is a know fact long time liao ......

I can even received 2 bar signal at level 1 of my block lift (open area) while I stay level 10.... tx power is set only to 50% ..... what do you think?

I think the connection is just cached but no actual data transmission can occur.

3.0.0.4.378.4585???

New FW for AC68U is out. Think the rest will follow too…

If you guys notice the changelog of AC68U, seems like many changes are made. But mostly are duplicate as per previous FW.

Well. I believe its a copy and paste description. The latest firmware should be a new one from the previous one.

Look at the md5 checksum. If the version is diff, no way ur md5 checksum is identical. So i believe its a lazy staff who copied and pasted blindly.. Haahs

So you wanna off load your AC87U at $150?
I need the extra antennas for hanging Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Or should I wait for DIR 895 so i will have one spare antenna available.

The moment I can get a unit that covers range at level 1 lift ... I will dump...at $50.

For a 2 way communication both router and client must be able to establish reliable connection for your distance of 10 storey.
And most clients cannot do that.

I'll let you know soon. I finding a way to increase the tx power from 23dbm to 29dbm. I know the quantenna can use higher dbm. Just need to find the right place to exploit.

I am now at level 1 ... Getting -80 dBm on WiFi.... From the router at level 10...

And making this post...
Same for me… But I didn't check the signal stength.

I can also access 2.4GHz of RT-N56U at lvl 1 with router at lvl 15…
