wow, 400+ is really expensive... :( is it some kinda special battery or something?

Nan. Some crab battery can't even last more than 1 yr. The only good thing is they give 2 yr warranty. So battery replacement is free but need need to pay for on site service.

wat is the healthy range? 13~?

haha.. yeah.. healthy mesage

no, im not using it... just happen to search for some stuff and chance upon this...

dont really go for much massage, but i think there are quite a lot of healthy massage parlors all over jb... lol... hence the price is very competitive, like rm40 an hour or something. feel like going in for kelong seafood and beer/stout soon. lol..

Varta 60ah could be had for about $160.

70 or 72ah AGM variant about $260 irrc.

Prefer this brand over amaron.

All tyres brand have their top flagship performance model, quiet eco model as well as mass market models.

Tyres like most thing in life are about trade-offs:

High Performance = Ground Gripping = Aggressive Tread Profile = Nosier
Eco Performance = Fuel Saving = Low Rolling Resistance = Quieter

Of course, there are the in-betweens. And compounds used make a difference too:

Soft Compound = Quieter = Faster Tread-wear
Hard Compound = Nosier = Longer lasting Tread-wear

Thus the most important thing is to know your own driving style and preference and choose your rubber accordingly.....

good question... so far i have only used conti and michelin... so issues... my friend told me to try toyo cos they are japan. then another guy told me pirelli and bridegstone is also very good... wa, so many choices man...

As mentioned earlier, all tyres brand have their top flagship performance model, quiet eco model as well as mass market models.

I have used the flagship model for all these four brands before, taking away the price factor, my personal rating (performance/noise) is:

Bridgestone < Michelin < Continental = Toyo = Pirelli

Between Conti's CSC5 and Toyo's T1 Sports, I will go for the T1S because they stick to the road like gumballs when warmed up and is amazingly quiet for its performance class.

But what I liked most is its progressiveness - i.e. when pushed hard and losing grip in the corners, the tyres will give sufficient feedback and time before slipping for the driver to realise and make the necessary correction.

Toyo tyres offer good value now too, because Yen has depreciated much against SGD in the last couple of years since Abenomics.

T1S @ 17" is probably around SGD220 +/-$20 now.

agree totally. we all wish but we just cant have the best of both worlds, ie quiet, solid grip, long lasting.... lol my preference has always been quiet tires.
i had a meeting earlier in the morning n we had some small talk on tires. anyway, ive a second ride which we probably drive 2 or 3 times a week. i realized I havent changed the tires for more than 3 years cos we probably use less than 10k km a year. I was advised to change it cos the tires may have 'hardened' n lost its effectiveness to grip the road. how true is this? my friend helped me checked the year and it read 2712. he explained to me what that meant. now the threads on all 4 tires still look good cos I usually ask my mech to rotate it every 6 months during servicing. should I change it? tia.

gs300. changed the rims and keep the original 17". drove it for a year+ and decided to switch it back to the original...

Original rim? 225/50/R17?

Seemed like you value comfort and quietness.

Can try Toyo Proxes C1S - soft, quiet comfort with sufficient performance for the occasional overtaking manoeuvre.

If really want super soft, quiet comfort ride for which GSs are built for - then go for Bridgestone Ecopia EP200.

Quietest and best fuel saving tyres I've used. Below average grip (that's why fuel-saving). New compound technology, made in Thailand.

yes, I prefer comfort to speed. I've driven above 140 on ns hwy on my current set of conti and find it ok. and oh u really hit the jackpot cos I was advised to try toyo proxes. I couldnt recall which type of toyo my friend recommended until I read what u wrote.
would u, by any chance, know if proxes will be more pricey than T1s?

the car came with standard 16'' if I'm not wrong. but the salesperson gave me a 'free' upgrade to 17. but in all honesty, I dont find much difference between 16 n 17 in terms of looks. I should have stick to 16 n ask for further discount. lesson learnt I guess.

I have several rides too, from personal experience tyres should typically be changed every 35k-40k or after 2-3 years on the car.

I have a Toyota for my mum with three year olds Bridgestones with mileage at 7k - still running good when I checked it every now and then. Nosier when compared to brand new, but sufficient and safe for her type of speed and distance she covers.

2712 = tyres are made in the 27th WEEK in the YEAR 2012. (tyres are considered fresh if sold to you within 6-9 months after production)

I would fret it and rush to the nearest tyre shop to change them out immediately. Modern day tyres are very sturdy and made to the most rigorous safety specifications.

But having said that, that's the four piece of rubber that keeps you and your loved ones safe on the road. I know of people who change their tyres every year regardless of mileage.

Guess best answer will have to come from yourself. If you feel that performance has deteriorated and you feel unsafe in it; then just have them changed out for the peace of mind.

Not often in life we can buy peace of mind with just a few hundred dollars.

uhh actually for this case abit different... cos GT radial trying to break into SG market so they're selling their tyres at very low prices at the moment...

what kind of tyres are u looking for? track/wet traction/comfort/noise/durability? and the price? maybe i can get my friend to recommend some tyres if you want...

yes that was the same advice given to me. just changed it or sell away the car since its under utilized.
