Someone was mentioning that Continental Sport Contact 5 for this size is going for $160.

It's a steal!

CSC5 is one of the best mass market high performance tyres money can buy.

Top performance, sharp response, short dry/wet braking. Only downside for me is it's a tad too noisy especially after I have tried much quieter tyres.
160 sure or not....i got mine 200+

On RE11A, after 1 year its noisy, grip and stopping on wet is good.
215 is good enuff.

Ya. Need to give way to comfort too as the side wall is hard.
You can feel the tires gripping the ground at very high sweeping corners.
Feel very confident on this tires.

yes, i usually pay more than 200 per piece for 17".... looks like there's some promo going on right now for 17". do see my previous few post for the url.

that's why i started this thread cos i checked with a shop in msia and they quoted rm2300 (~sgd700) for 4 with balancing and installation. someone has also advised that the continental tires in msia are most likely made in msia, while the ones here are direct from europe. far, im looking at either continental or toyo proxes c1s.

Thanks. Is csc5 a notch up from ps3? Was considering f1a2 and ps3... suddenly you recommend csc5...

Used Continental and Michellin before, but not Goodyear in the last 5 years. The last Goodyear I used was the first version of the Eagle F1.

My opinion is that CSC5 is one notch above PS3 > the Goodyear F1.

So unless you can get PS3 or the F1A2 at a price cheaper than $160 as mentioned above, the CSC5 is a shoo-in.

And added-bonus, CSC5 with the best performance is probably also the quietest.

Cool.

Be sure to share which ones you got eventually.

Am looking for good deals for Toyo Proxes C1S or Pirelli P7 Cinturato too.

I think the price usually starts from $150 and up for 60ah, I think. a workshop in jb quoted me rm300 for a similar amaron but after hearing all the horror stories about them selling fake or recon batteries, I decided to change it here in sg.

If can get varta silver.. It's good!

These are dry track tyres that I wouldn't put on my street-rides.

Pure high-speed performance on the dry tracks. Super noisy too.

Never ever use them in wet weather.....probably ski off the first bend if you try.
Yah these are semi slicks like .. But it was still better then the stock yokohama aspect db, those tyres are dangerous man.
