My 2017 65" OLED C7T had a really strong defect at the right bottom side. does this fit a factory defect problem? because i am very sure it is not a burn in effect matching that shape.
LG SG as expected just $$$
Pertaining to your enquiry and attached photos, the likely cause of the screen mark is due to the panel.
As the warranty expired, the estimate cost to replace the panel:-
1. Labor: $210.00
2. Panel: $3,150.00
sad.....
Hi, may I enquire why you believe it’s a factory defect problem?
Was that defect of the panel seen during your operation when warranty was in effect?
Have you or LG team instructed you to run a manual pixel refresh compensation cycle yet?
(Is this option available for the C7) ??
In any case, no harm trying to ask LG SG to offer you a %discount on your purchase of next LG TV set. That is provided you still want to stick with LG.
Good luck.
PS: These days I’ve accustomed myself to the poor reliability of modern electronics, speaking generally. I do not expect any of my recent purchases to last more then the stated WTY period. Of cause if a product lasts longer then it’s a nice bonus.
That is why I have a hard time justifying a 77” OLED and breaking even whithin 3yrs of WTY/entertainment. An extended WTY on a larger set is out of the question for my budget.
