Recontract or sign new contract with StarHub can get free Google Home. Interesting thing is StarHub, unlike Singtel, is also selling Google Pixel 3 without contract and from 1Nov onwards.

Looks like unless you're going for Not Pink colour which StarHub doesn't carry, there's really no benefit in ordering from Google Store directly since price is the same with no additional freebies, and delivery is much later some more.

Last year pixel 2 xl 64gb from singtel recon was $848 on combo 2 plan. This year up $40.

But considering this year pixel 3 launch & pre order earlier.. think many still bound to contract..

Just read that you cannot disable the gesture for pixel 3. So you are stuck on using the half baked pill.

Using the pill gesture since updating to pie. More or less used to it for me. But still hope google will improve it. Its not really as gd as the iphone X's

Seldom use notification light either. With AoD dont really find that i need the led light as the led light alone cant tell me which notification i have. Unless u are the type who use different colors for different type of notifications..

Even the navigation, not all wants the gesture. For me it's still faster to tap.

Anyway, no clear advantage for now to buy pre-order. Will wait more to see if there are issues, like what happen in pixel 2 xl. But really liking the small pixel 3.

I checked dimensions and seems like no change for pixel 2 xl & pixel 3 xl. Case should fit.

But does anyone who have had experience with wireless charging know if wireless charging would still work with a case

not on their own online store. but as time goes by, you can probably find cheaper prices at local retailers like kasia, mobile hardware, redwhite, etc. Since it's available on contract, bound to have people recontract just to sell the phone too. so carousell could be an option too. 1249 for the small Pixel 3 is steep indeed. There are so many other phones out there with similar specs for way cheaper. S9 is now much cheaper, Xperia XZ2 is a good option too, Op6, OP6T that's coming soon, and so many more.

But non of those devices will have fast updates, the top notch camera quality, unlimited original resolution photos upload for 3 years, and the smooth software experience. There is no doubt that this is not a phone for anyone looking for the best bang for their buck, but there are reasons why people still prefer Pixel devices, and willing to pay more for it.

For me I wasn't planning on upgrading from my small Pixel 2 actually, still extremely happy with it. But just nice had a contract in the family I could use, so with the lower price of entry, I pre-ordered a white Pixel 3.
