no one knows.
but the only way for it to go its full potential is to work it in a freezer
but i believe Intel should have some temperature threshold check to throttle the speed down.

Apple Store sometimes carry CTO models. fortunately they had the one i was looking at.
and yes if there was any problems (touch wood) can return.
previously many years ago, i had a problem with my 2012 rMBP. They suggested i return it and purchase a new one instead of repairing.

It’s very tempting but my current one still going strong and it’s also the last model with the main ports and illuminated Apple logo.
Really hope Apple will bring back the illuminated logo. The TB is very nice as I’ve personally tried it out, but guess won’t be upgrading anytime soon.

Same here. I got my 13" Early 2015 model, still working. Don't see any reason to upgrade unless it's bezeless and perhaps Face ID.

Ahh that could be possible in future MBPs. Face ID in MBPs can be very nice. Perhaps wait until current one spoil or when there’s a new design for MBP then purchase. My current one is still very fast and usable, but I suppose my next one will not be the flagship model. Perhaps a mid-range one is enough.
