TFR took a nosedive when people who like to provide for a family got equal pay as people who prefer to marry rich husbands
No need the old traditional of making family. Just let the TFR drop to zero then the government can fully import their lovely PRC and foreign talent

yup women now swim to top 20% men

some girls i know told me straight that they rather be rich married man toy than be wife to an average man

at least they can enjoy branded stuffs and exotic holidays

Looks and height are not as important anymore. The most important thing is money.

Girls love flaunting and getting attention. If they get a good looking and tall guy, the attention will be on the guy instead of the girl. It makes them feel undesired which is what they dislike a lot.

So the old times have its own benefits despite having less women rights. So that means the world should consider going back to times when women had less access to education?

Quite the irony when the gahment themselves are also trying to push for "strong, independent, career women" in their bid to join the extremist "female rights" fad that's going on in the west. And we even got someone who's the epitome of it leading our TFR efforts? Yet they complain about it reducing marriage (and thereby TFR) rates at the same time? Lol. LPPL? It's like slapping ourselves.

:(

Not everyone is capable to have a career, married and have children at one time. Takes a lot of juggling, prioritising, sacrifices and character. Getting married and staying with a stranger is first test. Then having a child is staying with two strangers the second test.

Maybe its precisely because of what happened in older days that in part formed the clauses in WC. Back then seems like many of the husbands who were supposed to take care and provide for their family failed to do so. Now the pendulum has swung the other side..cheating wives could also get awarded by court with high volume of money machiam reward them for cheating...

I guess it’s becos they can see the tangible rewards of their hardwork in their careers, be it promotion or money. Many times, relationships are hard to say. A person’s love can be betrayed. So maybe they dun find it worthwhile to invest in it. This can apply to men as well. But the problem with men is that, they need a woman to help them give birth to their offsprings.

Blame women again? The researcher probably took a leaf from this forum. How about all the male bbfa who are single? It takes two hands to clap.
What I can tell, it all stems from modern people tendency to blame everything on the patriarchy, that is cancerous, or what we called feminism, and we know who are the admirer and practitioner, and DOS should conduct test to further evaluate and cancer this toxic feminism spread from woke media of degenerative western society.

I blame western world, and the people who admire/practice it. Who are they typically? I notice they are usually the homo, AWARE members, butchs, gen Y Z females born in SG of better family background. (All the common kind of people in SG incapable of reproduction due to lifestyle)

Since there are no indication that suggest male bbfa and single the root cause when they are always there since the boomer times, why the f should they spend resource to point to that direction, biased one?

Singaporean women are increasingly able to access equal opportunities in employment and have eclipsed men in attaining higher education.

In Singapore, the standard narrative has long been that fewer people are having children because fewer people want children. However, a recent analysis from Singapore’s Department of Statistics (DOS) shows that falling birth rates now result primarily from increasing rates of singlehood, rather than from couples choosing to be child-free.

Data that my colleagues and I collected in the Singapore Perspectives 2024 (SP2024) survey helps to explain what is going on. It found that 40 per cent of women between 21 and 34 years old do not foresee themselves getting married.
