Haha but currently DirectML is still not released yet. Question is, will it be just a driver update for current 6000 series or only available for maybe let’s say next gen GPU?

DirectML is released already, its just the framework for machine learning using directx. Super resolution (amd's version of dlss) that is developed using directML is planned for inclusion to fidelity fx for 6000 series, but theres no tensor core for speeding things up unlike nvidia, so performance wise have to see.

Red Devil, Nitro+ and Merc319 are all very highly rated. Safe choices. Don't know about Gigabyte and Asus, didn't keep up. Nitro+ seems to have the most stock followed by Red Devil. I haven't seen a single person getting the Merc319 in Singapore.

Anyway imo you shouldn't be thinking of features that may or may not come like DirectML. We don't have a set date and RT for rDNA2 was skirt around by AMD for a reason. When you purchase a card, compare features that are available right when you put it into your computer. Everything else is bonus.

I'm excited for AMD cards next gen. The gap is really2 close than it's ever been for a long time now.

I was told 3060Ti would be a better bang for bucks. But when I'm running on a Xiaomi 34 inch, I'm starting to ponder.

Hahaha I guessed the feel as well when I changed my RX480 to 1070ti.

But it was only recently when I started gaming (cos I'm not working now) that the card idea was lingering in my head.

Playing CP2077 on low to medium is no joke man.

Don't take my word for it bro. I recommend you check out reviews and analysis before you take the plunge. Those were my personal opinion, and the reason why I choose RX 6800 XT. May not be the same reason for you. I don't take sides, as long as AMD or Nvidia or Intel offers me better value for my use case, I just go for it. I've been using Nvidia for the last 2 generations, just to show that I am not promoting AMD as a fan.

I feel it was an exceptional year in 2020, and likely remain the case for 2021. Prices shot up, supply ran dry most of the time. But it also tells us that we may not have to upgrade. The problem is when things look "cheaper", it will also entice us to upgrade faster. I was fortunate to get my RX 6800 XT because someone in the forum was selling it. Otherwise, I may still be waiting as well. Its certainly not cheap and almost 400 SGD higher than what I would normally be willing to pay for a graphic card. But if this supply issue persist, at least I don't have to chiong for next gen ones le. Take a break.

These are great features no doubt and should be considered. But their usefulness really depends on individual's use case. I don't stream, neither do I use emulators. Therefore, these are nice to have but of very low priorityfor me.

This gen cards is gonna last quite a while since the jump from 5700XT is pretty significant, similar to the RTX 3 series. Thats why I'm having a dilemma if I were to buy vs do I really need it since I don't play games daily.

I don't really game as much. Time spent with family and work. But there are some games which may interest me, so having a capable graphic card on hand is handy. That's my reasoning.

After the dumpster fire that is CP2077, I realised I went back to old games like DotA2, CSGO and Starcraft 2. All 3 no need 3080. The only taxing game I play (seldom) is CoDWZ or Blops. Fell into the hype of cp2077

Not interested in far cry, asscreed and hitman. Excited for RE8 though but that seems far off. And I might get that for ps5 for the resale value too.
