better clear them fast haha itll get tougher

Is the new p2 very hard? I heard the whole format change...

I have to pass two papers per 6 months to make it to before the changes lol and if I fail one paper gg already..

Is the changes worth the rush or not? I'm already so shag with work 😭

Hmm my lecturer mentioned the new syllabus has a new focus and emphasis, especially on the understanding of standards and new changes to IFRS. Since consol will no longer be there as a big question, it frees up a lot of marks for situational essay questions.

Tbh im not sure how hard the new paper is. But i dont think its much of a difference in terms of content since its still a P2 paper. Unlike the P1+3 merging paper which would be significantly altered.

That means everything is unpredictable. More emphasis on ethics in P2?

Can self-study if already have some basic accounting knowledge. If not, any tutor from any acca approved tuition provider is good enough.

Yup, F1 to F3 only requires basic knowledge on accounts
Fundamentals Knowledge. These are fundamentals which you no need a tutor for it.

F1 Accountant in Business
F2 Management Accounting
F3 Financial Accounting

Hi guys need help with F5, minimax regret

I was doing LSBF revision kit when I saw that what they taught there was to use the least opportunity loss right away from the Regret Table.

To my understanding, minimax regret is to minimax maximum regret. What I was taught in SAA to do was to see what is the maximum regret for each decision making between possible outcomes. And then from all the maximum regret, choose the least maximum regret. That way, we get minimise maximum regret.

I was so confused so I checked with BPP textbook. If I'm not wrong, I'm in line with BPP. Using a two step way to derive the minimax decision.

Attached is the Regret Table from the question I'm doing, which is correct.

As you can see, answer from LSBF picked project 3 which is the least opportunity cost

However from my working below, I would get project 4.

Please help I'm so confused to the max right now please minimise my confusion :(

Just saw FTMS price quite exp.....?! I would suggest F4 and F5 as well. But take SAA.

If you want good teacher for F5 can go LSBF. Not sure about FTMS facilities and other services provided to student, but for the price you're paying at FTMS, you get online notes, online textbooks as well at LSBF.
