Hi everyone

Have failed P3 and P4 and re-taking P3 & P4 together with P6 in this coming June 2015 exams so that i could graduate soon..

wonder if anyone have ever taken 3 modules together? How are u guys coping? Am studying part time though..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My friend suggested me to take 3 modules per semester, so I supposed it's doable. Plus you have already studied P3 & P4 previously, so it's more of a recap and improve rather than starting afresh.

i did my F papers part time, 2 papers per semester and i gained so much weight and pimples due to stress. i wouldn't recommend taking 3 P papers part time. that is just me

sometimes when you failed, it is not because you don't study, or you don't know the theory and knowledge. most of the time is the wrong way to apply your knowledge in the case study and time management during the exam.

in class you'll have progress tests, lecturers will feedback stuffs like, your answers is too long for one mark, you spend too much time in question 1, you are repeating case studies. so you know exactly why you fail.

good luck mate

I did 3 F papers at one go before. Got to know 1 forum mate here did 3 P papers at one go and passed all.

I think is depend on time management, luck & planning. 3 Papers definitely cannot last min revise. At least 1.5 to 2 of the papers must be well prepared by end of april. So by May you can revise last paper and then a final revision of all papers.

1 P paper is equivalent to 1.5/2 F papers.. So it depends on how u handle. Out of p3-4-6, p3 is heavily on theory. p6 tests greatly on application, u really need to think out of the box and practical experience matters here. Took p4 long ago, forgot alot so duno how to advise u haha.

Good luck!

People who took p6 under tommy yee, does he teach a technique to answer exam questions? Thinking of signing up for his p6 revision class at kaplan this coming may.

Took p6 under yvonne and don't really like her style because she goes thru the answers in point form and tax computations, with no proper sentences/guidelines on how to answer the examiner's question.

Tommy is pretty practical in guiding students to pass P6. Yup he got his special style in giving P6 answers that is linked to question requirement despite the fact he done answers in point form becos P6 topic is pretty wide and not easy to cover all in complete answer in revision class.

But when you attend his revision, trust me, all the handout questions and answers given out, if possible, go through all most/all questions and understand why P6 answers are like that. Yup, Tommy really typed out his own answers for P6 questions.

If you can attempt or partially memorize his answers and do thorough revision, you can easily pass this paper.

Yvonne and Tommy are actually good but i guess I am more suitable to Tommy how the way he conduct the lesson.

Bravostar

Is indeed tiring to take 3 paper but depend on how you put in effort in revising all 3 papers. Depend on which lecturers you attending? Yup here are the lecturers that really help me.

P3 - Marty Windle, FTMS
P6 - Tommy Yee, Kaplan

P4 - Hard paper i ever took and I gave up. Esther, Kaplan and Sami, LSBF...
