Hi ppl, my school installed win xp pro on my AOA150 and now I am not able to see the "wireless on/off" words being flashed on the screen when I pushed the wireless switch. Does NE1 know how to enable it? Of cos, the wirelss button still works...

The software you need is called Launch Manager.

should call singnet and varify... or better still, print out the thread abt the 160GB singnet promotion from that other VRZone and bring to singnet and varify~

yea, singnet did give out the 160gb AAO. moi frenz gt one of it. when i click on the harddisc, it shows total space , 160gb , free space 130.

hi..can I know whether can we create recovery disk for AOA 150 using the erecovery mgt? hw do we back up the win xp OS that is preloaded with the netbook so that if need to reformat we still can install back the OS..

No CD given, neither do you have an easy option to burn out a recovery image. There is a built in hidden service partition (~5GB), you use it to restore the notebook software to it's original state.

I saw at courts for 799 a while back but I'm not sure now. I'm tempted to get one but donno shld I hold out for sitex or get a 2nd hand one. Do you think Sitex will be cheaper?

Erm... i am not sure why is it so? I collected my laptop two days prior to the deadline of collection. Maybe they ran out of 120 GB harddisk ones. I tot that it's normal to see a overall 143 GB harddisk space.

Anyway, it's cheap to get portable hard disk - BIGGER AND BETTER!

NUS would be cheaper. There's a student discount with that so you're from NUS/NTU should get from sch. Though I heard that stocks are low. Quite typical, was always the case when I was in sch.

I just checked out at courts at funan just now. The prices have been slashed. AOA150 with 120gb hdd is going at $688 and AOA110 is now at $499, member price $449 ( i think). Some other shops are still selling it at $799 for the AOA150 though I saw this shop on the same floor as the food court (5th flr?) with the 160gb version at $689 and the 120gb version at $650.

I'm hoping that it will drop further at Sitex or at least stay at this price and have more freebies like a nice sleeve case.

160gb at $689 is after or before gst?

Coz i just kinda realised that if $650 at nus is before gst, that will mean the set will cost $695.50 after the 7%... if thats the case, maybe sitex can be a better option for its freebies
