For your last statement, it is better to check with them or challenger instead of assuming. Or you may read up on Acer's dead pixel/bright pixel policy.

BLB is subjective and will be present in ALL IPS panels. Only difference is how minimum it will be and it seems to be a lottery draw for all. But, unless your BLB is very very very bad, i doubt Acer will change for you. Same goes for other brands.

To make it easier to tell the differences between those 2:
Backlightbleed is independent from viewing angle and distance.
IPS glow is dependent from viewing angle and distance.

most brands here has no obligation to do exchange due to those

Thanks. Yup. I understand that Acer may not change. Hence I want to know if Hachi Tech will have like this 1 week exchange policy for such thing. Cos in the past, we can check on the spot. But from what I read, it seem now they wont entertain such thing.

I believe they will follow Acer's policy as they are just a reseller. So if Acer's policy state 3 DP/BP minimum for example, then you need to have those before u can try argue to change.

Note that 7-days policy in SG is for damaged goods upon receiving, instead of DP/BP/BLB.

i noticed that on 165hz i don't see the split issues,
it only occurs on 144hz.

can someone with this issue try it ? see if the split issue goes away on higher refresh rate.

Mine is the opposite of yours. Split issue only happens when Overclocked at 165hz but no such issue on 144hz.

Still waiting for firmware update from Acer. It's way past mid september but no calls or emails from them.

i suggest u give them a call and check bro. a friend of mine just had his set updated last monday. though im not sure if it was firmware updated or changed whole monitor as a set but different batch. but he seems to be quiet in my grpchat. im assuming acer has resolved his issue.

Yup. Tot of that. But the last time i called them, it ended up with them asking me to call the other shop...... That was a few years back tot.

Or could you advice, after the Funan outlet which has been closed, which is the next biggest outlet?

50% brightness....


Yes the camera make it look bad but in real life can see the colour actually, not not so glaring.


The btm center V shape is especially obvious.

Maybe I confused BLB with glow... but isnt the glow abit bad...


I can spot it with naked eye too... although its alot less obvious!
