Got the monitor. Has not been using monitor for yearS. Anyone know what is the purpose of the USB B Male connector (The big squarish USB conector) is for?

if i am not wrong it should be for multiple display set up

You connect it to a USB 3.0 port to use the built-in 3 port USB 3.0 hub on the monitor.
There are 2 ports to then left side and 2 ports near the squarish port (type b I think?)

i am using one of the aug set
fw 4.95

never encounter any split screen issue on both 144hz and 165hz

no DP spotted so far, built quality is good as any of the those out there . gaming is great...i guess i need a better GFX

i hardly see it with bare eyes
some ips glow exist depends on what angle you look at the monitor

Go for it. Good monitor. Avoid asus. Overpriced yet low qc. Unless you are ftom asus fan boy club

I am abit of Asus fan boy club lol
their build quality is top notch
as least for my Asus 1080p 144hz monitor
But worry poor quality after I pay $1k plus lol

If you don't mind paying 1.3k yet with expressive blb. BTW asus pg279q is using the same panel as the old acer xb270hu

asus pg279q panel is not same as acer xb271hu?

Asus and 270 is using auo dano2.3. 271 is using 2.6

Just gotten this monitor this morning!
Not sure if this a stuck pixel case
while doing a pixel check using website
all colours are ok when I go colour by colour
once I speed up the change
top middle corner will show constant blue strip.
is this stuck pixel??
or ?? any professional?

A stuck pixel will not change colour. No idea what your blue strip is.

if I go change color slowly. it will change colour
If I change too fast, colour will remain light blue for just one small corner.
