You connect it to a USB 3.0 port to use the built-in 3 port USB 3.0 hub on the monitor.
There are 2 ports to then left side and 2 ports near the squarish port (type b I think?)

Got it. Thanks. Found a link saying the same thing. :D

I have a few questions now that I been using it for a few days.

1) When I am browsing the net to read news, when i scroll the page down / up, I noticed that there is like a ghostly image on the text* while the page is being scrolled. When the page stop, the ghostly image also disappear. The problem is that it strain my eyes. It is possible to remove that ghostly image?

* Image the letter "Z", on top of the horizontal stroke, there is a while line. That is the ghostly image. Sry, not sure of the technical term.

2) Is this monitor capable of playing passive 3D image? I know that it cannot run active 3D image.

Thanks.

only thing I don't enjoy is the price tag
big jump from my 1080p 144hz. that one is $500, this is $1k lol
Yes. It is not cheap.
So you can imagine buying asus pg279q? Pay 300 more for less quality.

Nvm let them milk from their fan club

For gamers to see smooth graphics
nice colour cos it is IPS
Strictly for gamers
if you are not, then just get normal one will do
$150 to $200 will get you nice colour IPS for seeing youtube video etc

Lol that price range is for 1080p monitor, 1440p still quite high ATM with a minimum ard 600+/700+ (can't rmb what's the current lowest price).

It features ofc. like what tim has say that 1080p TN cost about $500 but u must know that it comes with a higher refresh rates like 144hz (though there are some 120hz at that price point as well.) and many other features as well, which means it isn't using the standard IC and beside that the panel that use also modified from been a standard 60hz as well.

Therefore for monitor like this acer, with G-sync, 1440p, 165hz and ips panel, it already consider price oriented monitor esp for FPS gamers. (but ofc the impt is still the input lag even though it has 165hz, but there are many factors as well.)

even if u find that price isn't worth that much den go for others where some features are less better, but what u get is still the standard monitor.

$600 vs $1k does proof to be a deciding factors on the prices, but u are not comparing apple to apple, u are apple to orange on the overall scale.

anyway the prices point factors is the the panel and the fast refresh rates and the IC that causes it be more ex. and if u find that its ex, den go with a standard monitor that fits your budget/needs. but if have a high budget why not get this monitor to enjoy it ?

Hey guys my monitor just died and I'm thinking of getting this monitor. I'm currently using a gtx 670 but I plan to upgrade once kabylake and the new nvidia ti cards are out. Will my 670 be able to run this monitor before I upgrade?

Also, the games I play are mostly immersive games like dragon age, witcher 3 etc. is it still advisable to get this monitor? I understand that the higher refresh rate is mostly for competitive fps games.
