Game to play : Dota2, Cs and maybe battlefield

Wish : No lag, no jerk, no fps drop on max setting on my samsung syncmaster s23b350
Want : to be able to last for at least 3-5 years and not intending to OC as don't know what's that and i believe dota2 don't requires OC.


GPU : Msi Gtx1070 Amour 8G OC enough ?
saw it at QOo10 @ $560 with coupons
Motherboard : Msi h110m pro-vhl / I5 6600 or MSi B150m bazooka plus / I5 6600
pcthemes pricelist : its around $400+

for GPU wise, what's the difference between like Amour, Aero, WindForce, Gaming.
From what i see from general comparison, only the oc speed that is different
and also if i would like to use dual monitor next time or change to a better monitor .
will above spec affect the performance ?

If you are getting a 1070 I would suggest zotac at Asus game pro shop with coupons and gift cards for about 490 ...

For your gaming needs id say a 1060 3gb @ 240 should suffice

Is there a particular reason why u dislike budget brands?

Also, it's better to have a full budget. If u restrict which parts for which amount, it's not easy for us to help u get a rig quote.

previously bought before , gpu fan not working after 5 days .
then went back to sls to change to another brand and top up .
went home screen flickering
don't know is it i sway or what but i think i go with the popular brand.
like gaming advertisment, always is msi or gigabyte, i don't see zotac or palit
msi and gigabyte like more reliable and more popular i guess ?
i have psu , ssd, ram, hdd that's why i only need to get gpu and cpu.

i think your rig is still quite relevant leh, especially when u are just playing dota and cs:go. u can even push for a gtx 1060 3gb and it would have no problem considering u are only playing these games. the only limit would be the 60hz from your monitor which limits your fps to 60.

i really dun see the need to change anything.

at first was hang then blue screen.
then after afew months it become beep beep beep sound when switch on then auto restart continue beep beep beep then auto restart again.
now don't even have beep sound, only gpu light & fan running when switch on.
that's why my 1st post was changing gpu and cpu
thought change this 2 part can already but didn't know ram & psu play a part too.

ok errm. in that case, i can see a couple of things being reusable.
ram and psu.

if u dun mind, u can get skylake mobos which support ddr3 memory. that will help to lower the price of your rig. if the speed of the ram is a concern, maybe this video will help reassure u. and a i5-6500 should do well.

how old is the psu? maybe u can consider reusing it if it's not too old.

as for gpu, u can consider a gtx 1060 3gb. however if u are looking to future proof further (although i dunno what other games u gonna play), a gtx 1070 would be much better.

Anw I think that since u are already upgrading, why not get newer RAMS which are more relevant in the future? Ddr4 RAMS in my opinion are still priced reasonably especially the value RAMS. Paired with a 6500 or 6600, and at least a 1050ti it's more than sufficient for dota2 and csgo already just remember to get a SSD cause that's the one thing u will feel the difference in, especially loading and boot times. Last time I used HDD I feel that programs tend to hang when loading, but with any SSD it feels very snappy and quick

Now ram prices quite high. $80 from pcthemes. If he don't mind using ddr3, that's fine.

i will get i5-6600 with msi h110m pro-vhl @ 457 via pctheme
gpu wise, i guess i can get any 1070 since there isnt much difference and for future gaming wise.
ram wise ddr4 8/16gb, will leave it to the shop to recommend which is better as from the youtube link, linus said that the performance actually not much difference.
if i were to change monitor to ben q 144hz next time.
psu i guess if can reuse, then i will reuse if not can buy another one below $150

i would get the 6500 but that's just me. for the mobo selection, if u think u need the gen 3.1 usb, go ahead. otherwise u could go with cheaper variants of h110m.

gpu wise i think u get zotac for its pricing. so far i using the 1070 mini and no problems really.

ram u only need 8gb. but 16 if u like. dun get coerced by the shop to get things that u dun need. also like i mentioned, your ram can be reused if u buy mobos that support ddr3.

psu if u are considering to change, u can get superflower. they won't cost like 150. 550w should be more than enough.

lastly, are u gonna assemble yourself or what? if so, are u comfortable with online shopping? there's some qoo10 sales going on right now and u can enjoy significant savings.
