The UNESCO World Heritage City part of Georgetown is right where you disembark from the cruise ship at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal. http://www.visitpenang.gov.my/UnescoHeritageBrochure.pdf
I suggest that you go around on foot and take frequent stops for drinks and snacks. No point making a stretch to go to Guerney Drive and Batu Ferringhi.

What are the things and where can I go near the port? I was thinking to have some good Penang food initially.

I attached a link to download the tourist brochure. The pier is at the top right corner of the map, within 100m of where the number 1 point (clock tower) is.

For food within the map area, visit http://blog.tourism.gov.my/penang-food-trail/. You will be able to identify many of the street addresses from the brochure. eg Lebuh Chulia, Kimberly, Union. There is even a mini-map on the blog. The yellow pins are reachable from the pier.

I use grab all the way. Very good and reasonably cheap!

Grab and Uber can get easily there? Thinking if I should rent a car for a day or use Grab and head to places like the temple around the north and some other slightly less accessible places.

Does the airport sell data sim card? Anyone knows how much will it cots roughly? Only there for 3d2n.

Will be staying at le dream botique hotel, seems like quite a lot of food in the vicinity. And how much will a taxi cost roughly? Should I just flag one at the airport or uber/grab?

Yes there are plenty of Uber/Grab drivers. Get a grab/Uber then nego with them on daily rates.

Queensbay mall worth to go?
Yeap. Last year i also went there, but only downside is quite far from komtar. We went there eat at a Japanese restaurant but forget what name and the food was pretty good and affordable. There also have cinema and a food court upstairs with a nice view. Also bought a pair of roshe at the Nike store for only $80sgd haha.

Sent from Samsung SM-N920I using GAGT

What data sim card should i get for 3d2n?

Hotlink Fast gives you free 1GB data when you download and activate the Hotlink Red app that's useful in managing your card.

If your trip includes a weekend, you can even get free weekend data.

Check the link for details.
