Advice on Penang

Just booked flight to Penang end July for 3 days trip. Will arrive penang about 6pm on a Saturday and depart at 9pm on Tue.

This is my 1st trip and planning to stay at Georgetown area. Want to ask the experts here if the traffic be bad when going to Georgetown?

Any recommended places to go? Won't be going penang hill due to the hot weather.

Is 3 days enough or should I stay 1 more night? This trip is mainly for eating and a bit of shopping.

Traffic is ok on Saturday evening. Traffic bad during peak working hours.

Tropical fruit farm, Saanen Daily Goat farm, Audi Dream farm, Ghee Hup Nutmeg Factory, Etopia (expensive ticket) can complete within a day with penang hill and Kek lok si temple.

Morning Market - Chowrasta Market and Pulau Tikus Hawker Center

Design Village for factory outlet like IMM, it's outside Penang island. You can get a free shuttle bus there from CIMB PRANGIN MALL (KOMTAR) at 10.15am/ 3.15pm. Returns from Design Village at 1.30pm/ 7pm. (need to check for schedule changes)

Chew Jetty (nearby have street art so can combine)

There are a lot more to explore but you only got less than 3 days, if possible extend another day. Stay at Georgetown better, location is good to go places.

Really cooler? Can consider and maybe go late afternoon like 4 or 5pm.

Thanks. I have made changes to extend another day. Will be taking 9 plus morning flight in on Friday and back on Monday 9 plus night flight. Just pay a bit more on airfares. Will be taking jetstar for about $230 for 2 pax. Is the fare Ok?

Thanks. I have made changes to extend another day. Will be taking 9 plus morning flight in on Friday and back on Monday 9 plus night flight. Just pay a bit more on airfares. Will be taking jetstar for about $230 for 2 pax. Is the fare Ok?

This is normal rate. Good for you to fully enjoy and relax.
If you havn't book hotel can look at Sunway hotel, location good with low price. Can see reviews and photo in Traipadvisor.

If you going to those farms, you can do penang hill and the temple last so not so hot. Penang hill is slightly cooler.

I didn't go JB outlets. Similar IMM, mostly mid range branded stuffs.

Yes if you like animal. They are just small scale farm. Audi farm is the best, you can feed many small animals.

• if at Balik Pulau, do try the penang laksa at Kim Seng Kopitiam

May skip the farms after discussing with partner. Will visit some museums if they are interesting though.
