I prefer G hotel gurney, but end up I stay Sunway cos of budget. Book expensive resort in Langkawi, so penang cut cost

Any one know whether either of the G hotels have adjacent rooms with door that can be opened to connect the rooms ?

Have connecting doors between rooms, i stayed there in Feb 2019...

I prefer chicken egg farmstay than 5star hotel. Miss those days when I stay in kampong, catch chick and feed chicken eat chili

If willing to splurge, can try Eastern & Oriental Hotel. Normal rooms around $150, Suites double that. Come flushed with full facilities and two pools; one inifinity the other just beside the beach. Near Georgetown attractions, located near to Gurney also. If you ask me, for the money it’s bang for value compared to other cities. Spent 2 nights there, really shiok.

Agree. The E&O shares heritage with the Strand in Rangoon and Raffles in Singapore. At that price, it is a bargain.

Ulu- perhaps Penang Hill, Balik Pulau, those destinations on the western part of the island.

Nam Keng Hotel is akin to the Hotel Puri at Malacca and perhaps the Scarlet or 1929 here. Right smack in the UNESCO bit of Georgetown. Unbeatable location from which to visit the places of interest within old Georgetown.

I use grab within Georgetown, about 5-8rm per trip depend on distance.
Penang hill and kek lok si, grab may be very few.
