Aego M, unknown to many, is in fact powerful enough for your living room if you are in an apartment. No worries on warranty, if you remember to turn if off at the end of the use day, the components won't overheat.

The only downside is that there is not a "Line In" jack.

Yes, in fact at medium woofer settings and not even up to 50%, its already blasting my room down.

wah seh this thread is around here.

been on aegoM since 2005 or 2006 till now. my set still going ok despite some issues but i can live with it.

only downside after all these years is there are times when i wished they have a external remote instead of the one at the subwoofer.

Isn't the hole in the front a standard 3.5mm line-in jack? Unless you mean optical or something...

I'm happy with my Aego, but my wife thinks the treble's a bit dull lol... I think it's the so-called "smooth" treble. It's true that for live strings recordings the sparkly bits are a not sparkly enough, although I'm not sure if it's something you need to buy premium for. Using the SRS on the PC adds that excited treble, although my basic use is for TV/WDTV...

Bass is lol excessive for me, used to use L1, but L2 is better for TV as they "radio-ify" the audio for TV shows...
