AE Aego-M User Official Thread!

Those asking if its good enough for gaming (just for the bass) should stay far far away from Aego M. You do not have the audio taste for music and quality speakers. You can't tell the difference anyway. You are a audio-noob so go get ur cheap $80 bass gao gao speaker from SLS. LOL

I just got an aego m 2.1 from sls last night after selling my corsair sp 2500. Wanted to get audioengine A5+ at first but saw the aego in the shop so i thought might as well check out those aego first.

The sales guy played a demo for me i was very impressed such tiny speakers sounded so good. So i asked him which dac or sound card or amp he using it to play from. He said none only a cd player. Ok i am sold...take my money.

its great for music n games and i do have a swans m50w at home for comparsion. I would say the aego has very nice clarity and but i liked the bass more on the swans. The swans has really some tight bass.

Anyway aego is a keeper in my opinion. Hope you guys enjoy your aego as much as i do.

Yeah i got the logitech Z906 5.1 next to my aego. I hardly use it except for gaming or movies or xbox. The bass is freaking insane but at the expense of listening to nice music.

EDIT: Do you guys think this is a speaker for me??? I listen to all genres, classical, rock, pop, kpop, symphonic death metal, alot of guitar basically. Tried the audioengines A2s and it was good for some genres but for other genres I didn't really like it. How do you guys think this will compare?

And I have to put the sub on my table also because my table is the kind that run along the wall one, not those desk kind. So the wiring cannot go from table to the floor. Do you think that would be a problem in sound?

and 3.1 set up really improve the mid?

i tried the 2.1 and 3.1 as I bought 1 set 2.1 and 2 spare sats from a brudder

the distinction between vocals n instrument stands out, esp the vocals are much more noticable however compared to a 3 way speaker, it still lacks the definitions.

I am more then happy on the price spent, it was a fraction compared what I spent at car audio.

i did a small upgrade by buying the external dac sound blaster digital music premium HD, solve all the problems related to bass, and instruments are a tad more distinct and vocals are smoother... a great $99 upgrade from creative warehouse sale.
