I just pasted the below link in play store

小米智能家庭

Yup. This app is better. It has the timer for XiaoMi2 AP to set for auto on & off. Cool! 👍

doesn't work with hidden ssid

That's strange. I'm able to connect via hidden SSID. But for this app, during the initial setup, I need to reset my AP (press the 2 buttons tgt) n retry a few times before it is detected and connected succesfully. :s22:

After that, it works well. :)

If possible get xiaomi version 1 from NTUC Extra. Local warranty.

Sharp and novita - IMHO not good enough.

I had a sharp previously but airflow not as strong as Xiaomi.

Hi WussRedXLi,

I have been using ax40 24 hrs a day at low setting with original filter, any idea roughly how long i need to replace it? I know you mentioned that low setting is useless, whats the air flow at low setting compared to xm2 equivalent setting in same db.

thanks

I think ax40 has replace filter indicator, can use that as a gauge?

This is how it works on 3M APs - a sensor that measures the motor speed... my guess is most APs should be using a similar method for the indicator?

As a filter becomes covered with particles, the pressure drop rises. As the pressure drop rises, the motor speed increases in a very predictable way. The Ultra Clean air purifiers have a special filter change indicator that measures the speed of the motor, which indicates how "plugged up" the filter is. The filter change indicator determines when the filter has reached the end of its useful life, thus the user will know it is time to replace the filter.

If Novita, you may get latest Model like NAP-610 around s$399 w additional FOC 24mths 3-in-1 Filter pack
True HEPA with Far Infrared PM2.5 Particle Sensor, monitor yr air quality & get the PM2.5 count based on 2 minute moving average
My comment: Five speeds Turbo, High(27W 30m2), Med(11W 20m2), Low & Sleep ; set Med or High ...PM2.5 falls 002-02x comparing to xiami AP2 ; set 24-27m2 ...PM2.5 fr MiHome app shows 008-03x-04x + temp RH% etc

Note xiami is not using true HEPA filter and run 150days=24x150=3600hrs
ON for normal days & filter NOT so expensive $40+ green filter
(Fan blows up to ceiling)
while
Novita recommends filter run 6000hrs or 24mths if operate 8hrs per day {$399 for 4years}
(Fan blows up to ceiling w slight to left )
Novita has Anion (Negative ions) oFF/ON.
Novita has timer (1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8hrs)

Is these PM2.5 readings accurate?

AX40H5000 : Now quite expensive. operate Auto or High(34W ~40m2) speed with original Filter (..$59) 6~12mths. Keep for bad haze day. Fan blowing at angle up.
