Can anyone share their experience with Tefal PU4025? I bought one today, however it is creating more noise when I change the fan speed to lowest, night mode. The noise is due to the motor, although the noise due to airflow is reduced, motor noise is increasing with low speed (I hear similar noise (increase/decrease with ~2 sec period) when the motor is running at medium speed). I am thinking that I got a defective one...

I don't have a Tefal PU4025 but I have the larger Tefal PU6025. Didn't experience what you described. To me, 1 and 2 bars are pretty quiet and the noise become more noticeable on 3 and 4 bars.

Cannot be like that one. Go back to the shop and test other units......
Since it's today, demand 1-1 tomorrow if really found to be defective unit.

The night mode of every single AP that i have played with, be it my own ones or in the shop, is DEAD SILENT. So much so that airflow 100% is not enough......coz it's so damn slow.

So damn slow also got sound = not acceptable. Just makes no cow sense right?

Even if you put your ears right next to the outlet, it should be jjuust barely audible, really baaaaarely.

Singapore retail expensive leh, don't rush as the current haze won't last, tomorrow really should be pretty clear. But a week later, there is no guarantees. But this year 100% won't be that jialuck as last year.

Read the comments about Xiaomi 2 and Samsung AX40 models. Filter replacements, how frequent to replace (it could get pretty frequent, don't push it too much).

If you need more "power", buy multiples. Multiples also mean filter can share.

yes...why rush... last yr then quite rush caused the haze level if u didnt have at least one protection and everywhere out of stock and need preorder

If you have don't particle counter then my 3 ways to determine when to change filter should be good enough.

1. When filter is black.
2. When air blown out is smelly/musky.
3. When wind blown out is not constant, feels stuck or wind is very low even at high speed.

I vacuum the filters but the air purifier still has a smell when I switch it on.

What kind of smell? If it's bad or musky smell, it's time to change the filter. Bacterial has already taken over and please, don't vacuum your filter. Unless it has a pre filter, there is very little effect in vacuuming it. You may be expose to more dust than you need to be.

Can try qoo10, it'll be cheaper than official forwarders....but about $20 more expensive than using Ezbuy Prime (membership service)

usage for 3-6 months according to sellers...

but if heavy haze period...change more frequent...

The time to change is really subjective. Based on usage nd environment.
