err dont buy Xiaomi as from EDMW anything xiaomi will explode and they churn out rubbiush product because they are tiong product.....

joker side Xiaomi AP2 is advertise as Air Purifier lei bro, also u see here many pp incl me also bought it , price wise depends on where u buy it i.e Lazada, Qoo10, Taobao etc. I paid around $160 as we combined ship in 12set lol

Your UK DART sensor is good, probably the for consumer application/price point.

I have the chemical kits for detecting formaldehyde. so-so ba....
It's very slow, that's one thing for sure.

Would the purifier absorb the smell of the repellent? then the repellent will lose the effectiveness?

I thought maybe will shorten life span on AC filter and also the formaldehyde filter (if present) if the vapour is being absorbed by those. Not sure if not sure if the vapour particles are be big enough to be trapped by the HEPA filter.

Had also wondered if turning on the AP would reduce/remove the effect of the electric repellent too and waste the fluid used up during the period when the AP is turned on.

What kind of smell? If it's bad or musky smell, it's time to change the filter. Bacterial has already taken over and please, don't vacuum your filter. Unless it has a pre filter, there is very little effect in vacuuming it. You may be expose to more dust than you need to be.

pre filter is the thin filter while the hepa is the thicker one right?

i vacuum the thin one.
