About a week at most. I also use the Xiaomi as an "air cannon" where I blow the Jet mode output at my gf's wardrobe while I agitate the clothes to shake out the lint. From my observation that's the main source of lint in her home.

Dunno if can use a vacuum cleaner to suck air from the wardrobe. Save the life of the AP's filter.

Btw, just went Philips to order a couple spare HEPA filters for my vacuum cleaner. $12 each.:D It's recommended to change every 4 washes. I washed 2 times liao. :s8:

That is precisely why I bought lots of mesh fabric from taobao to act as a preliminary filter. If you can measure your unit's dimension, I could cut some for you foc

this is gonna be fun in the future... the G5 sensor is on sale! pin compatible with the G1.... but future incarnations of G5 will have formaldehyde and carbon dioxide detection built in! model is PMS-5003, future PMS5103 (particulate + formaldehyde) and PMS-5203 (particulate + carbon dioxide) will be coming!

Are you going to buy it in future?

Just found out that qoo10 having lots of coupon now. Some of the AP really good deal with the coupon. There $100 coupon for purchase of $500 and $50 coupon for purchase of $300.

Link for coupon,
http://www.qoo10.sg/su/144567609

So basically can get the AX40 at 279 including 1 spare filter. (unit already has 1 filter so it's 1+1)
Or AX40 at 229 with no spare filter. (unit itself has 1 filter)

If you have more cart coupons, then the price goes slightly lower than that.

For the Dubai bro again....

Living in Dubai near Zabeel/downtown......really need APs. Serious. :s13:
(disclaimer - all other areas, including Diera, the original/historic city centre, seems ok)

This is about as good as it gets. (Data converted from Dubai Municipality)

317k SGD Huracan (successor of the Gallardo....if I am not wrong it's about 1.3m here). Not sure about any other fees. From what I see on the Audi Q7, I think cars are slightly cheaper than what you can get in Batam (10% cheaper in Dubai).

*slurps!!!*

Replied this PM to a sis whose grandma suffers from lung infections.... (but I left out the qoo10 link...)

Hi there,

Just aim for the $50 coupon at 10AM everyday on qoo10, get it.

Then get the Samsung AX40 with 1 filter (comes with it) and 1 more extra filter.

Use it nightly whenever she sleeps. There is only 1 fan speed to switch it at, and that is in HIGH fan speed which I can 100% assure you that it isn't terribly noisy if you place it away from the bed. The Blueair and Honeywells are definitely going to be noisier (The Blueair 203 and Honeywell 18000 have a fair bit lower airflow CADR than the AX40...esp the Honeywell). The CADR airflow is 323 m3/hr, which is more than enough ACH/Air Change Per Hour for any HDB room. It consumes 27 watts at that setting.

Can switch on the aircon @ 26 or 27 deg C, RH won't dip too low at that setting, seriously. (the AX40 easily takes care of any secondary PM50/PM10 pollution, if there is any :s13: Of coz, best is to nip the problem in the bud as it's always recommended to take care of the pollution source, in this case the aircon FCU is mostly the culprit as folks always forget/lazy to call for servicing which is $$$...or in some cases DIY clean even)

Leave a gap of approx. 5-10mm at the windows, as the "under-door" gap will always be there. This is to keep the CO2 levels below 2000ppm. This is not critical though, but thought i would recommend it. Presumably any VOC or formaldehyde levels also will be taken care of as well this way (assuming no new furnitures/reno).

Every year change the filter once. Replacement filters can be purchased on qoo10. Also can be purchased from Taobao (3rd party, very slight performance hit, in most cases not noticeable in real life).

There is no need for humidification, besides it increases mould issues.

I did not go into the details. But that's a done deal.

The cars here are popular and not that expensive. Actually they cost peanuts compared to SG, but that's a different story I guess.
