A 500 watter would be nice. You probably would operate it in low or medium 98% of the time, so lower power consumption. High power is v noisy.
...

yeah i intend to get a 500W.
any recommendations?:o

If you intend to go SLT, the stuff shd be alright lah. The "power headroom" of a 500W is cool.

But i'd really recommend you to get smoke detectors. Ebay got sell, get 3 enough ba (redundancy).... each one S$5 nia. Then get a couple of 9V Energizers. Gao dim.

I edited my prev post, do read the rest...

Anyone bought this Novita NAP501? Is it good? Can't find any reviews on google. Thought of buying this, come a free HEPA filter.

The bros last year hoot honeywell from amazon, can update which transformer you using and so far any prob with them??

:s12::s12:

I am using Super CT500 transformer. Been using for 9 months and there isn't any issue. I use a small USB fan to cool the transformer though as the transformer can get hot.

It's difficult to say, coz Novita is still relatively new in the air purifier arena. It is pretty ok in other areas.

How to determine if it's good? Different strokes different folks.

Based on the specs and price, it's decent. Free filter somemore, you said. I think it's worth the buy.

For me, the brushless DC motor used in Sharp models (mine is Sharp A40, 2 generations before the current one) is power. The reason that it uses so little power is due to this, there is a spec with regards to power consumption vs Clean Air Delivery Rate/CADR.

It's important for those who use it daily. $$$ used in electricity. It's not a lot but still if you compare with Honeywell, it amounts to quite a bit. In my case, I have saved about $300-$350 just on this purifier vs Honeywell comparing same CADR in same airflow setting, due to electricity savings. (0.257 per kWh + 7% GST)

I have been using mine 8-12 hours daily for the past 6 years plus, motor still no funny sound. Sharp already in the air purifier biz for so long and the brand is strong here, I have had no issues getting replacement filters coz along the line I can use the successor HEPA filters. In fact it's not easy to find the filter replacements at BEST, stocks are usually v low coz demand v low. But I use the new filters meant for the successor models coz they are all standardised.

No replacement filter = no working purifier in a year or 2. Burnt motors = bad.

I think you have come across Air Purifier Reviews by air-purifier-power.com

Anyone has lobang for blueair or honeywell? Thanks.

Harvey Norman centrepoint still has 2 sets hitachi $399 and Philips $899. And technogas 499.

Philips still got like 5 sets. Technogas 3 or 4 sets.

try amazon.de.

Honeywell HA170E Luftreiniger mit langlebiger HEPA Filtertechnologie: Amazon.de: Baumarkt

S$370 including shipping. ship direct to sg and on stock now. amazon.co.uk no stock and need to wait 3-5 weeks.

if top up a bit ~S$20 for shipping, you can get it 3-6 days. standard is like 3 weeks. worth it imo
