I just bought another air purifier for the living room..
Thought of buying Blueair but too expensive.

Honeywell with permanent washable filter.

Amazon.com - Honeywell AirGenius5 Air Cleaner/Odor Reducer, HFD320 - Hepa Filter Air Purifiers

Current price of $179.99 is the lowest I ever saw.
I been monitoring the price of this daily for almost 1 year.
$198 was the price when i added to my wishlist.

Bought this because there's a timer shutdown, energy saving, oscillates and the filter is washable. :(

Bought it mainly to trap dust because my area alot of construction going on.

Thought of buying this but the cost of filter replacement ish ... :(
Gotch UV lamp to kill germs... Don't know if it really works or just some gimmicks.

Not to say better lah, but it's one of the brands to get definitely. I got my Sharp 840E (predecessor of the Sharp A40)at just 429 that time. Depends on the offer.

I think mosmos got his Sharp A28E at 79 dollars only, Courts offer last year. I nearly wanted to get that at $128 also last year, BEST Denki offer. Now is 169. That one is E10/HEPA-10. More than good enough for the small 4.x by 3.x new HDB rooms.

Worst case scenario if Best Denki closes down, filters still can get from ebay. Sharp is used worldwide.

just check with friendly store... out of stock... Lol... next mth then will came... staff friendly and sell at affordable price.

pity cant preorder first as dont know the model for that price... only Budget of around $300...

I was considering this as well, but getting replacement filter is really expensive.

Amazon don't ship direct and freight forwarders charge an arm and leg for big size items like this. :(

They do. It is being shipped direct to singapore. For the filter, well, it is expensive regardless of brand/model

Hi guys. I am looking to get a set of air purifier for my parents as the air quality is getting worse.

Is there any recommended ones that are available at the major electronics stores now?

TIA

Basically all OOS. Can call up Harvey Normal Centrepoint.... Monday lunchtime still have a couple (Hitachi, Technogas, Philips).

The good news is that it probably won't get any worse than this. Until the inter-monsoon season comes and we start to get variable to SW winds.
That is when the Riau haze comes. And if you check www.weather.gov.sg under ASMC, that is a friggin monster plus burning for more than 1 month.

The bad news, is that the SW/variable winds may start in 2 week's time.

Currently the haze is from Johore. As you can clearly see, Singapore this localised region we don't even get registered as even having any haze currently.
