Hi all
I currently looking forward to get an air purifier
Not much to request but with HEPA filter ( i think this is the most important filter to have) and that can instantly remove cigarette smoke (owner smoking lo)
So far what i been recommended by sales person was the EuropAce EPU 370C and i personally quite interested on xiaomi ap. Any suggestion or review on both ap ? Manay thanks
Haha

Buy Samsung Ax40 or Xiaomi AP...

my air cube the packing is OK.

I don't think anything can go wrong with the packing, I only have issue with the speed of their shipping and handling.

took them 1 week to ship out, 1 more week to reach me.

Yup, my Air Cube was ok and my C is Gold in color so not complaining...Just notice that only the top is gold and the side is white...

well, I just realize that if your room is with the air con, the carbon dioxide buildup in thw room is quite high...So without it, you wouldn't know...

True but i do leave my room occasionally to use the bathroom or go to kitchen, and there is air exchange with the rest of the house.

My house has shutters in the 2nd floor high ceiling that cannot be closed so haze gets into my house, and on very windy days I can feel my door moving slightly so I think my room is not completely sealed (it's quite an old house). I figure not that much risk of high CO2 levels...

Btw do you bring the air cube outside or just leave at home?

I own 1 of this to use at home. Able to keep the pm2.5 level below 50 most of the time with 1 ax40 at living room.

Played with the MFresh 8088A and installed Aliyun app on my LG G3. Took a wee bit of effort as I had to turn on the Unknown apps setting (didn't know that) before it could install.

Paired up the M8088A to my Wifi, pretty ok. Normal AP in 1 room, signal managed to penetrate through 2 walls and 1 bed to the M8088A, still ok.

Medium speed is low 300+ m3/hr as per review. Sound is the same as AX40, so that is good.

High speed 528 m3/hr, quite noisy. Is not suitable even for living room (4-rm flat) unless your TV is switched to moderate SPLs. Jet mode 584 m3/hr CADR as measured in a lab is quite LOUD, not suitable for prolonged operation. Good thing is that it'd auto kick-down to high after 20 mins.

Now I know the fuss about controlling with handphone. As long as you have a internet connection, 4G or Wifi....you can control the AP.

This comes into play when you are outside and coming home, you can control to turn on the Jet Mode manually. Don't really have to set the auto timer, though you could do that. This is really useful like today, coming back it's uptrending and so you can whack the AP first. 584 m3/hr can clean a whole 4-room house in 20 mins from 300+ ug/m3....absolutely no issue at all.

Design, well...ok lah, footprint is ok.

At $298 after adding in all the 2.5% CC and 3% TB fee and 80 RMB for 顺丰快递...it's an above average performer. A pax who is really after extreme good quality air at home (low PM levels) would like it. At 300+ m3/hr and silent operation enough for light sleepers and only 29W, also ok.

The LED would auto dim, so pretty good for sleep.

Filter is humongous alright, I like it. RMB 199 though, so that's about SGD45 every year at least. Sometimes 6-9 months need to change. Depends.

Operationally it's workable out of the box, no funky smell from the filter. Is a wee bit plastiky smelling due to very very slight outgassing....but every new product is like that from TV to aircon to new bed. Give it 3-5 days, confirm gone.

I really like the remote control function. Is great and very functional in real life.

how did you chance on this AP ?
what made you buy it ?
