Yes ac with ap rm...thing is i feel comfy lol

I think it's the same thing as desensitisation. Now with some reference level, I finally can put something to it.

Eg, last time I didn't care much about waking up and though the room feels stuffy (my wife also said so), we didn't think much about it. Now we know it's basically the CO2 levels (and possibly the correspondingly lowered O2 levels).

So can fine-tune this.

I think > 2000 ppm then I really would feel it. Less than that, not so. Tonight I will see if I can maintain it below 1500ppm and see how's the feeling.

Last time was really shooting blindly, more on PM2.5. CO2 is more for comfort (together with humidity and temp)

Original is good. Just that the one I have is 45mm . thicker than Standard and cannot be used with activated carbon filter.

The discomfort reading is based on temp and humidity.

Anyone here bought the poiema brand P500 air purifier? Just wish to know how is it? I know the price is very costly..

Someone already did a review, just remember there is no fan so very little air movement. It'll take a lot longer to clean the room, providing it actually does clean the room. Also, if you going to get it wait for the price to drop back to $999.

So far they have not provided any certification for the device and they have deleted Facebook posts that requested for it.

Hmmm. Never heard of this product before. What technology does it use exactly? What is "Twin Pole Active" technology??

Sounds like marketing gibberish to me... :s22: :s13:

Silicon valley top air specialist develop out the TPA technology based on Ionic Wind purified technology, which emphasize that is washable and ultra quiet. TPA uses the emitting and collection electrodes to form an electrical field. When Air goes through, the clean process will remove almost any particles and germs. The airflow is created without any motor fans. TPA is the World’s most powerful Clean Air Technology

Embarrassing typo with 'emmitting' btw :s22:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the use of "electrodes" sound similar to those old-school air ionizers... used to have one. Also no filter, no fan, dependent on existing fans for airflow. Got internal metal 'blades that gets coated with dust, can be washed. If that's the tech they are using, feels severely overpriced.

Air ionizers conserve power and run silently, unlike fan-driven air purifiers. Another advantage over other purifiers is that no parts need regular replacement, because there are no physical filters that get dirty. Even though most air ionizers don't have motorized fans, the ionization creates a faint breeze that helps distribute the ions throughout a room. Some ionizers are outfitted with screens that catch the particles of dust as they fall to the ground.

Mfresh M8088A owners : think it's reported that you cannot access jet mode (580m3/hr) from the AP's control panel. Can only access via the app.

That's incorrect. You can just long press the speed button. It will switch into jet mode.

It is indeed marketing gibberish. Had a colleague who was so proud of his expensive purchase and posted every single reading of it on fb during the haze period; including one where he farted and the reading went up a bit. Was very tempted to tell him the technology was the same as my maier air ioniser which cost 79 bucks 10 years ago lol

Not actually, it cleaned my living room (ar 50 sqm) within 20 mins, PM2.5 dropped from 79 to 19...I think your living room is too big to clean lol!

So far I got a few air filter experiences before, this one is really different. :vijayadmin:

Electrostatics have already been discussed before a couple of times. Not that they don't work. The CADR is just lower than the HEPAs. The main advantage is that they are literally noiseless (those models without fan)
小二顺便说一句贝昂空气净化器还有一个隐藏大招,这货是靠离子风来带动空气循环过滤的,机器里没有风扇,所以工作的时候完全没有声音,不会打扰睡眠哦。

The Poeima P500 is approx. 180 m3/hr CADR. And I'll leave affordability calculation to you, with regards to the 1k+ price tag of this unit. No comment, for some can afford 4 units around the house coz he/she values the zero noise level more than the few thousands of $$.

Posting the test in detail again...

This is for another model, slightly lower end than it.

Take it as the left fig div by 100, 162 ug/m3 for 0.5 microns (haze particle distribution peaks at 0.5-0.6 microns)
Room air quality

Output.

Half an hour later, 162 -> 69. Room size = 16 square metres.
打开净化器半小时时后,在距离净化器约5米左右的房间另一端测量一下,整个房间里的PM2.5降到60多。

Last time the big name was Trion. You might have seen it in Pertama or something.... Really classic. Last time about S$250, but hey that's like 20 years ago price. So very expensive.
