In what way? Isolation wise, you're asking the obvious. One is an earbud, the other is an in-ear. In fact, they're both very different. If you're comparing connectivity quality, AirPods have the advantage.

Tried on both and decided to go with the AirPods. Strangely they were more comfortable. Just felt like there was nothing in my ears. It was also strange that the AirPods fit much better compared to the regular lightning EarPods.

Definitely. Being wireless, they're just a standalone item. The regular EarPods have wires, thus will weigh down a bit.

Till date, the AirPods have the best sound for a regular earbud.

Yeah sound was actually quite decent. Either way I am not an audiophile so not really demanding. Just prefer the convenience of no wires and ease of use.
