This Aztech 7003 is a piece of rubbish waiting for trash. The router's 5GHz WiFi signal can sometimes just disappear in air. Totally no 5Ghz signal. The wireless speed then dropped to dead slow less than 1Mbps (normal AC mode over 160Mbps) after leaving the router in idle for some random duration. When this happen all I can do is to reboot the router. I've encountered countless number of times. Crap product from Aztech(Singapore)

Any solution for intermittently missing 5Ghz?

can share how u managed to upgrade? I am on 300mbps plan. i was wondering whether my plan can upgrade.

anyway, connection to your router is as per normal. however, if u want to benefit from the speed increase of an AC router, you must have an AC wireless adaptor on your devices too.

Connection is the same as your 7002. You need to have wifi ac enabled device to enjoy the high speed.... like iPhone 6, Asus TP300LN....if not, get a USB wifi ac adapter.

I am using one plus one phone.. specification wise - Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Didnt see AC option on wifi settings..

anyway, i have a "history" with singtel.. i called in to complain for the screwed up 5ghz of the 7002.. i changed like 5 times.. until singtel gave me 2 months off subscription and offered to do cabling for my desktop to have direct connection since they "ran" out of stock for the AC 7003/7008.. so when i see their fibre unlimited plan offering 7008 AC router, i just called in and kpkb about the connection screwed up and demand 7008 or 7003... so a very nice technician appear the next day and replaced it with 7003. [30mins ago as of now 1522H]

On summary.. how to convince singtel to give u 7003? just complain and be demanding :s13:

My friend just setup his synology nas ds214 and connected to this Aztech 7003. Access to nas from windows/mac machines is fine.

However, nas is unable to connect to internet for DSM update check.

Is there any setting in 7003 to allow nas connection to internet?

Can we change the DNS of this router?
I was on 7002GRV(S) and the WAN section is left blank.
