anyone here used synology NAS with 7003GRV? do you have problem with your setup and it always tell u "Network connection problem, check your network setting and DNS setting" but my setup is pretty simple..

IP address - static LAN IP
subnet - my standard subnet (take from DHCP during setup anyway and now static)
DNS server - my router IP

my BT download from download station suckz.. quickconnectID something dont work..

i have already manually portforward port 80, 443, 5000, 5001 to my router also got this problem. feel like changing this router away!

To access USB Drive connected to the USB port of router, on File Explorer, type \\192.168.1.254\.

I can't seem to access the USB drive from \\192.168.1.254...

The in-built Twonky server recognises it and I am able to read the USB device..

I need to explore and write to the device.. any solutions?

change the DNS settings on the NAS to point to singtel DNS, not the router IP
u can find that from the router gateway.

I am unsure if the settings for 7003 have been mentioned before to acquire ipv6...

Nevertheless here is the screen shot:

Screen%20Shot%202015-03-14%20at%209.29.16%20am_zpsztpzujma.png

Setting up ipv6 is pretty easy since the settings are already saved in 7003 as a built-in profile.

All you need to do is to enable it, then save the settings.

After which, do a reboot and test via Test your IPv6.
new to IPv6 here.
any benefits in converting my home network into IPv6?

Any one having this problem with the aztech7003:
Samsung tablet and iphone can see the 5ghz wifi but other ac capable devices like xiaomi box and lg g3 cannot. These devices only see the 2.4ghz wifi.

With another ac router, the dlink 868, the xiaomi box and lg g3 can see the 5ghz wifi.

Try changing the channel to a lower number (2 digits)…

i have xiaomi TV box and LG G3 both can see the 5Ghz Wifi connection though

hmm.. it works but that's weird as normally setting router IP as DNS server will work as router should do the routing.. now it is going straight to internet... anyway.. as long it works.. i am happy

U may try changing the channel in the router configuration page under wifi. look for 5G and specify it to look for something with /80 instead of auto (eg, 20/80). for example my new wireless lan card could not detect 5g eventho it is dual band but after tweaking it as mentioned, my 5G wireless was detected and connected.

CHeers.

Thanks hilmi. My router (J version, firmware 6.0.20.1.58.1.8, just given to me by singtel) when I go into home page shows lowest freq as 30--, anyway I just put in the lowest channel and
now all can see 5ghz channel.

Solved my problem for my Synology 215j. All the connection problems and delays was solved by disabling the QoS (Quality of Service) tab. Voila! everything is working like a charm now.

Advanced Mode Access : 192.168.1.254/Singtel
****Capital S on the Singtel****

Hopefully we can continue the discussion if any problem. But strangely, I still can't find anyway to mange the USB stick, wireless bonding etc
If anyone can advise and would appreciate. Thank you

my 7003j aztech was installed 2 weeks ago, into the first week, suddenly 2 of my accesspoints and my computer n miotv no internet, only wireless direct from main router has internet.

I called them and they guide me to change channel for my 2.4ghz and reboot after which work like a charm. Singtel ask me to reboot every week for them to reassign channel automatically otherwise will jam and again encounter the same thing. But i did not so as to see if it was a one time problem.

Following tuesday, after just thursday incident, again same symptom which i simply go and reboot my router and everything works again.

Do you guys encounter the same problem? Is this normal? My office old fibre plan with netgear 3500L dont have such problem. Appreciate all kind advise.

Very confusing. Your reported symtoms do not match up.

2 of my accesspoints and my computer n miotv no internet, ... ... only wireless direct from main router has internet

mioTV does not depend on Internet. It is on its own. If both are down, its means either one of the following is having problem:
1) router
2) ONT
3) Fibre (I am assuming fibre since you are posting in a 7003 thread)

suddenly 2 of my accesspoints and my computer n miotv no internet ... ...only wireless direct from main router has internet.

I called them and they guide me to change channel for my 2.4ghz and reboot after which work like a charm.

Changing 2.4 wireless channel solve the problem?
Then, ...
a) How does mioTV come into the picture?
b) How does the LAN connection come into the picture?
b) Are your access point connected by wire? If yes, how do they come into the picture?

Singtel ask me to reboot every week for them to reassign channel

Are you having the 2.4 and 5 channels auto-assign by the routers? Why not set them to fixed channels that all your devices can recognize and channels that is not congested by your neighbours. Then don't don't have to always reboot to get rid of your neighbours.

Wifi speaking, I don't have to reboot my router. It is set up to play nicely with the environment.
